We will join your European Economic Community, thanks for fixing that error.

We do not wish for war to come again so soon to the area. We hope that a diplomatic agreement can be reached soon and shall remain neutral in the matter. If it is necessary, Madrid can serve as a site for any diplomatic talks that need to be held.

Chinese Imperial Republic

After years of opression and failed industiral efforts a revolt of the rich landowners, with middle and lowerclass support created a new system out of the bloated carcass of the previous goverment. In order to include the masses a senate was created 5 from each providence of the Imperium, who in turn elected a ruling triuverate who acted as the cabinet and ministers. This board of three then chose a Premier to serve for life. Every 6 years the triumverate was up for reelection by the senate and the senators were up every 8 years. Under the new goverment the first Chinese Primier has been elected. Xio Yundo was unlike the previous leaders of China, he had been chosen for his beauracratic abilities, and for actually caring about his national interests. His knowledge of interior China would be instrumental in bringing China more onto the world stage. With a revamped industialization program to modernize the economy and an emphisis on the strong existing agricultural production, the economy of China would experience a boom (hopefully). While expressing less interest in international affairs, Primier Yundo was not blind to the fact that some foreign relationships were needed for China to grow. Thus, forging lasting trade partnerships would be a cornerstone of the Yundo stewardship.

TO: La Republica de España
FROM: The United Kingdom of Great Britain

We thank you for your offer, and for your wish to join the European economic community. We very much appreciate your proposal to mediate diplomatic talks between the nations of France, Britain, and Egypt. We hope that Egypt will be willing to enter into these talks, and we also hope them willing to recognize our alliance with France and Denmark for what it really is - a defensive pact designed to protect the lives of our people.

TO: Denmark
FROM: The United Kingdom of Great Britain:

We agree to this North Sea Pact.

*ORDERS*

Denote one eco level to my army.

Begin have engineers focus on building up my docks, I notice they are in poor condition and result in my poor navy.

Maintain occupation of Mongolia until it all blows over. However, if any more rebellions take place troops are to use heavy artillary to decimate the resistive residents, then sweep in on the remains. They want to hide in their holes, well then they can just die in it too.

To Britian
From Egypt

The previous regime of France sought to destroy Egypt utterly. They failed. We will not allow them to EVER regain a place where they can once again threaten our nation or people. Our people have voted in the Anti-French party of One Africa as a measure of our resolve to ensure that this travesty to the honour of all Egyptian soldiers who fell in the defence of the Nile. Never again will the Egyptian Imperial Republic humble itself before the might of a European power.

The time for European imperialism has come to an end. We do not dissuade yourselves from the European Economic Community, in fact we encourage this institution as a possible brother community to the African Communities of Economics (ACE), however we will not tolerate any Franco-British Alliance as this is the alliance that once tried to rule the waves.

Futhermore at the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, several French ships passed into your control. Under the articles of this treaty they should of been turned over to the Egyptian government in reperations for losses incurred in the fighting against the French aggressor. We ask for these to be returned.

Of course if you accomodate us in this manner, we may very well be more accomodating in other areas in question. Please feel free to discuss this futher, but as it stands, the Egyptian spirit cannot be sullied as such and we have causus belli against the French Kingdom.

Political Parties of the Imperial Republic of Egypt

Overview

The Imperial Republic of Egypt has numerous political parties representing a wide range of policies and viewpoints within the Republic. Whilst the Head of State is and always will be the Pharoh, the true political power is with the head of the largest party within the National Assembly in Thebes. At present that is Otto Bismark, grandson to the first Imperial Chancellor, Otto von Bismark, the son of Teutonic immigrants to the Egyptian nation.

Only Africa Party of Egypt

The largest party within the National Assembly, this party formed government with the small Militarist Party of Egypt to gain a small majority in the 1440 strong Assembly.

The Only Africa party is an right wing party, denoucing all colonialism within Africa and calling for an end to attempted European dominance of the world. They are also fiercly pro-Egyptian and have a tendency to discount diplomacy if it looks as though it will not achieve the desired results. It is also a loud supporter of the African Communites of Economics.

On the domestic front the Only Africa party is calling for increased industralisation in particular that of the agricultural and mining industries. It also supports a large military budget. It also looks towards technological innovation as the future of the nation.

Anti-Imperialist Party of Egypt

The chief oppostition party within the National Assembly, this party lost power in their mismangement of affairs of state, particularly with France prior to the Great War.

Strong left wing, this party looks for greater integration with Europe and relaxation of the Treaty of Versailles, both unpopular meassures in modern Egypt. They also support the African Communities of Economics but not strongly.

At home they call for a more flexible working situation with greater welfare to those worse off. While they achieved some of their welfare aims in their last government, some of their policies and their penchant for massive public spending programs drove the national economy into debt a while ago.

Labor Party of Egypt

Coalition partners to the Anti-Imperialists, this party is largley based out of the worker's slums in the major cities of Egypt. While their support base is small, their support within that base is absolute.

On the international stage they have little policies, a fact that causes the party to not be more successful then what it is. That and the swing from the left that is being felt throughout most of Egypt. They are however anti-French due to many of their supporters fought against that nation. A sticking point in relations with the Anti-Imperialists.

At home they call for more welfare, and greater unionisation of the workforce to better represent their needs. At the same time they also echo the Only Africans for the need of industrial expansion.

National Socialist Party of Egypt

Extremly right wing, this party is violently anti-French and is largely based within the remote areas of the Republic.

On the international stage the preech the need for more living space for what the term as the 'superior race of Egypt' they also preech the need of ridding the world of the international Franco-British conspiracy that is trying to destroy the African nations.

Their domestic policies are very limited and are basically designed to ready the Egyptian forces for what they call the 'inevitable wars of the future'

Militarist Party of Egypt

Coalition partners to the Only Africa Party, this small group has achieved several cabinet postions and outweighs its numbers in influence.

Extreme right wing, but unlike the National Socialists they are not racist. They just hate everyone that is against what Egypt stands for equally. Their sole purpose for the maintenance of a strong and superior Egyptian Armed Forces.

Economist Party of Egypt

Centrist Party the Economist Party of Egypt was responsible for the creation of the African Communities of Economics in the decade before the Great War.

Since losing government, the party has lost its spirit and thus has suffered numerous splits. The Socialist Party has been created from the ranks of the Economists and the Only Africa party has received majority of their former membership.

Now the Economist Party is only holding a handful of seats along the Red Sea and looks like a diminishing force in politics.

Anti-War Party of Egypt

The ANti-War party is a fringe party within Egypt opposed to war of any kind. It received enough support to send a represenative to the National Assembly but it is unlikely to grow any time soon.

Democratic Party of Egypt

Formerly the third greatest party of Egypt, they lost majority of their membership to the growing force of Only Africa and have shrunk to a fringe party. This election was particular bitter to them as they failed to elect a single represenative to the National Assembly.

Socialist Party of Egypt

A small but growing party, this party follows the words ot Teutonic philospher Karl Marx, while written in the slums of London. They call for a violent revolution to overthrow the monarchy and the National Assembly and replace it with a proletarian revolutionary council.

The fact that they refuse to stand for the National Assembly however looks set to limit their capcity for growth.

No. Our people have precedence. I look out of the window and see them starving on the streets, and I cannot tolerate such a state of affairs.

We will send the economy level next turn.

Update done hastily. I wanted to finish before class. I might add/tweak when I get back.

Update Three: 1836 A.D.

The British create the Republic of Italy as a beacon of democracy in Europe. Although the Italians have been restricted to the British Commonwealth currency, the two nations are as different and separated as the next two.

Chinese concentration on agricultural production has greatly exceeded even Spain’s grain production, and has taken the lead as the largest producer of wheat. Surplus from trade has helped to increase the Chinese economy (+economy).

Unrest continues in the Mongolian province of Pacifica, taking the lives of more soldiers, both the occupying Pacificans and the peacekeeping Sinhalese (who just increased their occupation numbers to 75,000) (-500 Sinhalese, -1,000 Pacificans).

The French hold the required Referendum in Nordterre, with options on the ballot for unity with Scandinavia, unity with Denmark, continued unity with France, and independence all by itself. Nearly 94% of all citizens within voting age cast a ballot in the election. Here are the results:

Unity with Scandinavia: 23%
Unity with Denmark: 10%
Unity with France: 29%
Complete Independence: 38%

Since neither party gained a complete majority, the territory will remain the statue quo until another referendum can be held.

France continues to try and rebuild its massive industrial capacity from years before the war, but the lack of capital and willpower is taking its toll, and the French economy continues to lag behind its rivals in Europe and Africa. Many firms are having a hard time starting up because of rival corporations from other European countries gaining access to French markets easier due to the EEC. (-economy). The continued lagging of the French economy has had an impact on her once magnificent army (- training for navy and army).

Mexico begins construction of her own railroad system to add to the poor-quality one installed by the French a decade earlier. This has helped grow industry as it does deliver valuable raw resources from southern and central Mexico to industries on the Caribbean coast. Also, a new currency has been introduced that breaks Mexico’s tradition of the French Franc. The new Mexican peso, adopted when the Spanish colony of Yucatan (whose economic output, unfortunately, equaled almost half of Mexico’s) was incorporated as a Mexican province, is rather weak now, but shows signs of strengthening as Mexico’s economy grows.

Russia increases its occupation of Quebec from 25,000 to 100,000 in the midst of secessionist debates in the Quebecois colonial government. This has sent chills down many Quebecois spines as some believe a war is brewing.

Economic output from the African Union and South American Empire has tripled as they stop pressing for industrialization and concentrate on agriculture, a program led by China, now the world’s top grain producer.

ACE and EEC have created benefits in their member nations as trade grows (+ economy to all members except AU and France).

Socialist movements are strengthening in Panama and New Canada, but mostly in Quebec where millions are now apart of the Quebecois Socialist Party.

Unrest is beginning to stir in the Teutonic Order-occupied Adriatic coast as the people realize that they too can have their needs met as an independent nation or united with Greece/Italy (the two major ethnic groups in that area). So far only small protests have taken to the streets, and those were forcefully put down by the Teutonic troops.
