Nope!
Thus, I'm +1 Detail, and +3 Freedom. That puts me in the Storyist area, one line up and to the right of the arcader/centrist/storist intersection.
(a) One with detailed updates, but very limited stats.
(b) One with detailed stats, but very short updates.
2: If a player spends significant funds on a plan that, in real life, couldn't be accomplished just by spending a lot on it, how should the mod respond?
(a) Waste the spending, or bank it for next turn
(b) Have the plan be carried out
3: If two players give orders that lead to conflict, how should a mod resolve the situation?
(a) In favor of the nation with an in-game advantage.
(b) In favor of the player that sent the better orderset.
4: What is the function of an update?
(a) To describe what events have happened since the previous turn.
(b) To describe how the situation in this turn is different from the previous one.
Both!
5: Should the majority of player actions be categorized into defined categories with pre-determined costs?
(a) Yes
(b) No
No, wooo!
6: If a player spends on researching a technology that wasn't discovered until later in our time line, how should the mod respond?
(a) Award the player research in related fields
(b) Award the player the technology he was spending on
Depends on how early it was, alternatively destroy them for using state directed research.
7: Is it more important that games be consistently updated in a timely fashion, or consistently informative of minute details?
(a) Timely updates are more important
(b) Consistently reported details are more important
Timely
8: What's more important when choosing the setting of a NES?
(a) An interesting situation.
(b) A believable situation.
Only interesting and believable situations need apply.
9: If a player of a democratic government implements unpopular policies, what should the penalty be?
(a) The action should be vetoed by the NPC legislature
(b) The action should be carried out, possibly with a penalty to the confidence/popularity stat
Depends on how long they try and push it for and their current popularity, could be both.
10: Should a player be able to enact policies that, realistically, would be too extreme for a single ruler to implement?
(a) Yes
(b) No
Yeah, I tend to see the player more as the governing faction rather than a single individual (i.e. the king and his courtly supporters)

I had some negative scores which lowered certain values.Wait, or you not meant to move every answer, rather than tot it all up?
Only if equidistance from the center is really an opposite, I suppose.Anyway, the results are:
aababaaaab
-1 Detail, -3 Freedom
Which would put me on the lower side of the Centrists, if I understand correctly. Can't really agree here (I would've put myself more in the far right corner), but ah well.
Also, I just noticed that I am apparently the Anti-Iggy.![]()
???????????moving evey turn Vs. toting it up would give a VERY different answer

Not really comparison. More like competition, and not necessarily to see who's "better."So my amusement of NESing is based upon comparing myself to others? Perhaps, but that suits everyone, I guess.
On the line? Are you sure that's possible? I thought I settled on a design for the diagram that would result in no line-straddlers.I ended up right on the line between centrist and simulationist, which seems about right, although I do have a soft spot for low detail games as well. I guess I'll say I'm a centrist.
It's still 95% done.Frozen In Ice said:Also, Chandrasekhar, what happened to being 95% done with the Pre-ChaNES update? Get back to work!![]()

And if I did that, people would always choose the midway option, because situations vary - just like you did for virtually every question. You really need more questions, also the binary options provided are crummy - a better paradigm would be thinking of a range of possible answers, then weighting them.
