After taking the quiz, where do you fall on the chart?

I still think this a) unnecessarily politicizes what would in any other medium just be "taste," and b) ignores the fact that someone can have more than one answer for a given question.

EDIT: and c) I don't think this really deserved a bump, leastaways not such an insubstantial one.

I would say that hence the title never ending stories the main point of nesing would be stories and the rest would be to add material. Even though storying may not be the reason people nes, or the funnest part, it should the the first thing you address, cause no one wants to waste their time reading bad stories with terrible characters. I'm not calling anyone out, or saying that people post bad stories, simply giving my opinion on what i consider most important.

Wow, funny you dig this up.

A little over 3 years ago, I was an arcader.

Taking it now.. seems like I'm into boardgamer territory, with simulationist leanings.

All in all remaining far away from storyist, as always... some things never change.

+3 detail -5 freedom

however, my answers would not apply to my playstyle in all neses i play, because i have different expectations for different genres of neses

they only reflect my ideal nes

It tells me I am a boardgamer, which is entirely untrue. :~I Too few options.

I agree here. I found myself answering both answers for a multitude of questions. I'm still not really satisfied with having to chose one, honestly.
The point is that you weight one more than the other. It was supposed to serve as a quick and dirty diagnostic that gives a generalized idea of where you are, not an in-depth psychological quiz battery designed to plot your exact philosophy of NESing.

I realize that but for example, question 3, I would weigh both equally. I think that the nation with the best in game advantage, and best orderset, should come out on top. There are situations when both are valid. People with smaller nations have risen to the top through superior orders, and on the flipside, those with in-game advantages have either risen or stayed at the top. I'm just saying for me, personally, it was hard to give more weight to one than the other. I did end up doing so, but I am not satisfied with it.

I realize it's supposed to be in-depth though, and isn't perfect. :)

I decided to retake the quiz and am now a centrist. Probably a result of spending so much time only in EQ games. He is a storyist and I was originally a boardgamer so its only natural I've drifted towards his viewpoint playing only his NESes.

Apparently I'm a Centrist bordering on Simulationist now. I did not know that. Still lacking options that would actually be available to a player/mod though to make it a thorough poll.
