The Byzantines actually called them still the "Roman Empire" after the split between East and West,after the Fall of the Western Roman Empire,they called themselves still the Roman Empire.

Might sound a bit lame but how about
Byzantine with Rome captured: Reformed Roman Empire or maybe New Roman Empire? You catch my drift. I find Empire of Nicaea doesn't fit as well after you expand a lot. If the Byzantines controlled Rome again, I'm pretty sure they would call themselves Roman again anyway since they found the glory again.

Completely agree, though New Roman Empire sounds better than Reformed.

Also, is there any words for the dynamic names of the Americans? Last I head, Empire of Columbia is still in effect.

I don't think Andorra can be considered a republic. It's a principality in its official name.

Still, one of it's leaders is the French President, the Head of State of The Fifth French Republic. They are one by proxy.

At the moment when the Khmer capital moves to some country or another its name changes to Burma or Dai Viet or whatever. When its capital is Singapura, it should be renamed the Kingdom of Malacca.

EDIT: Oh, and when the Mongols conquer China and move their capital to Khanbaliq, they should be renamed the Yuan Empire or Yuan Dynasty.
