Suggestions for Dynamic Names

Rzeczpospolita for Poland instead of boring Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth.
It is not an official name, yes. Official would be too long, and historians using just Rzeczpospolita too... At least I'm alsmot sure in it ;d
Look, they are using just "Rzeczpospolita" here!
Besides it sounds fancy ;d
Conditions - same as for commonwealth, I do believe that for commonwealth it's "control any city otside core area"

Miedzymorze for Poland too. Literally it be "Between two seas", appears if Poland running any of "totalitarian" civics.
Actually it never existed, but another tricky guie - Joseph Pilsudsky was planning to create it after WWI from zones of influence of Germany and collapsed Russian Empire.
FAILED ;d

I do suggest this ones, because polish dynamic names are one of the most boooooriiiing in the game. They are boring indeed:vomit:

Don't worry, but I will only use names that are common in English for dynamic names (vassals are an exception).

PLC is commonly used by Anglo-American historians, and I personally think it is a very cool name.

Does Babylon have any flip to Sumerian Empire at all? Feel like a Babylon with capital on Euphrates delta should take that name... not that that would EVER happen what with Susa.

Also please tell me Greece's vassal name for India is the Indo-Greek Kingdom, because I only just found out about it (from RFC Asia of course) and wow, that's cool.

It might be too soon, but given that such disasters for humanity such as a certain failed Austrian painter, a Georgian ex-seminarist, a teacher and part-time librarian from Hunan etc. have made it into the game: why not "Islamic State of ..." for Muslim civs running Theocracy, Totalitarianism and Fanaticism. I don't see why that shouldn't be taboo now. (I dislike and excoriate these murderous caliphate wannabes like everyone else, needless to say)

We could have:

the Islamic State of the Maghreb (Moors)
the Islamic State of al-Misr (Egypt)
the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (Babylon, Phoenicia?)
the Islamic State of Najd/Hejaz (Arabia)
just the Islamic State (if you control large portions of the Middle East)
etc.

What's the difference to simply Caliphate? Al-Baghdadi has already proclaimed himself as caliph.

Hm, right. Point taken. Although "Islamic State" or ad-dawla al-islamiyah does seem to be their official name rather than caliphate/khilafat.

Yeah, but I wouldn't know how to differentiate them from a civics perspective. I don't even know if you can categorize IS as totalitarian.

If America moves its capital to Denver or any other city in the Rocky Mountain Range, Panem.
(not sure if already mentioned) If Portugal takes over Spain or vice versa, Iberian Union.

POLAND

Turkish vassal: Eyalet of Lehistan
Persian vassal: Satrapy of Lehestan
Arabian vassal: Emirate of Bolanda
Chinese vassal: Tributary Bolan State
Japanese vassal: Co-prosperity Porando

Russia is vassal: Muscovite Voivodeship
Vikings are vassal: Scandinavian Voivodeship
HRE is vassal: Saxon Voivodeship
Austria is vassal: Austrian Voivodeship
Prussia/Germany is vassal + Poland is a monarchy: Duchy of Prussia
Prussia/Germany is vassal: Brandenburg Voivodeship
America is vassal: New Poland
Generic vassal: [adjective] Voivodeship

Islamic Poland: Sultanate of Poland
Orthodox Poland + Theocracy: Autocephaly of Poland
Pantheon: Pagan Poland or Perunic Poland

I don't think there are any, but that is a good idea.

Reading about this, I think I'll expand and rework the dynamic name system for a bit to allow for more generic names and an easier handling of them, in particular to reduce the amount of XML tags that need to be defined to cover a civilization's names.

Do any civ names become "___ government in exile," like the Portuguese do? I've always found it pitiful and hilarious. :)

The Dutch and maybe the French, not sure about them.

I have posted already, but concentrate them here:

Germany (HRE) if rome is alive and not german vassal:
*Kingdom of Germany (generic, instead of "Holy Roman Empire")

Soviet Russia, not vassal, has no vassals:
*Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic

Soviet vassal generic name:
*X Soviet Socialist Republic

Persia in middle ages:
*Sassanid empire

Generic name of China ("middle kingdom of China") should never appear

"Empire" name for euros:
*Dynasticism/Theocracy and empire size and industrial age
*Dynasticism/Theocracy and empire size and absolutism and ealrier age

The French Empire is a common example for a republican empire.

The French Empire is a common example for a republican empire.

Then make autocracy+empire size+renaiscance era to count as imperial name

An alternative proposal:

Civic| Age | Size | Name
Theocracy |Medieval| any | Holy empire
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Medieval | small| Duchy
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Medieval | empire| Kingdom
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Renaiscence| small| Kingdom
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Renaiscence| empire| great kingdom
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Industrial| small| great kingdom
Dynasticism & Vassalage|Industrial| small| empire
Dynasticism & Absolutism|Medieval|small| kingdom
Dynasticism & Absolutism|Medieval|empire| great kingdom
Dynasticism & Absolutism|Renaiscance|small|great kingdom
Dynasticism & Absolutism|Renaiscance|empire|empire
Dynasticism & Absolutism|industrial|any|empire
Dynasticism & representation|any|any|commonwealth
Autocracy|Renaiscance|small|republic
Autocracy|Renaiscance|empire|empire
Autocracy|Industrial|small|republic
Autocracy|Modern|any|fascist

Then make autocracy+empire size+renaiscance era to count as imperial name
That doesn't make sense either, the third republic had a huge colonial empire and is in no way autocratic.

It works fine as it is now.
