Nice job guys! With the conquest of France, this game is in the bag. Not that I ever doubted we would win on Regent difficulty... I still have a few suggestions though. Why is Paris building the Forbidden Palace at 1 shield/turn? At this rate, it won't finish until 1950AD! By rushing a courthouse in Avignon, I was able to get 6 shields/turn there. Avignon is where we should be building the Forbidden Palace. I would move some workers there to mine the nearby mountains and I would merge some captured French workers into the city (using the "b" key) so it could get more shields. If you do this, we can have the Forbidden Palace built in about 25 turns, which is a lot better than 182, right?
We need another settler or two south of Tours where there is unclaimed land. That's where the AI settlers are heading, after all. Feel free to rush some libraries to get some border expansions from culture. A lot of cities are not growing as well. Try to fix this with rearranging tiles and using workers to irrigate.
Why are we running 20% luxuries? We control 7 luxuries at the moment! I saw that we can cut it back to 0% luxuries with no ill effects whatsoever, and gain 87g/turn income from it. Please pay more attention to the tax/science/luxury rate when playing so you aren't losing out on income; I estimate we could have gained some 500 extra gold if this had been switched immediately after the war ended.
At this point, we have to decide how we want to finish the game. We can easily sit back and win a diplomatic or spaceship victory, or we can continue attacking and win a domination or conquest victory. Either will be easy to do. The three of you need to decide how you want to proceed, because that will determine our strategy over the next few turns.
