So I'm not the only one then! And AK and Whomp aren't the only ones to suffer "Avatar switching" - Tomoyo has to all intents and purposes become Bede!? There appear to be others too.

0 750 "Hello Abe. Time to die!" Don’t agree with the min run on Republic, but it's so far along now we might as well finish it. Should've gone full-tilt at it whilst we could.

1 730 Forget about the Cat in the stack. Archer 1 dies, Archer 2 wins, Archer 3 wins, NY razed as Abe whipped a Spear IT.

2 710 Sell Monty CoL for all his not-unsubstantial gold.

3 690 Attack and auto-raze Boston, using only a single Archer. Also get a Settler Abe kindly donated us, but that cost us 2 Archers before the pesky Spear escorting it died. Found New Amsterdam in the ruins of NYC.

7 610 I've been healing up units.

10 550 Leiden founded where Boston used to be. Troops ready to take Washington next turn. Or wait a turn and have 3 more Archers and 1 more Cat for a formality. His other cities are bloomin' miles away so sue for peace and the 3 remainders, esp. Seattle, if you can. Oh and try to get the Amsterdam MM back on track; it'll be better at 5-7, mind, it'll be even more fun when we get Republic. All those Courts are Library pre-builds, once Republic comes in revolt after getting all the gold you can for it - don't bother getting Monarchy, then max burn on Lit. I hired a Sci in Soulwerd and dropped Sci to 0%; for a min run, that would've been the best approach from the start.

Oh well. I have this game & eldar04 to play. I also have to cut my grass (~2 hours) and get ready to play paintball this weekend. I'm going to have a busy night!! So a simple anarchy turnset won't hurt too much.

I waited until the other archers and cats came up and I'm glad I did. i lost almost all of the archers that were up there to 3 valiant American spears... But then I polished off the last one with the 2hp warrior that we had up there. I then sued for peace and got everything except Abe's fur hat and Philly (new capital). Settler is headed north to claim those equines!!

revolted via big picture and got 6. decided to revolt again and got 5 turn anarchy. Switched a lot of people to scientists to get some research on Lit during this trying time for our country.

Aztecs landed a lone archer which I lost a warrior to then killed with another.

I have all of our cats up by the English border. There is an archer by the iron that just got connected. There are a few English troops up there by the iron. So the 3 archers and warrior that were playing cat-mouse with the American workers need to head up there ASAP. I think that an English war is due. She's building at least 2 wonders now so her productive cities shouldn't be building swords yet. I think that war could be declared in the next 3 or 4 turns.

Aztecs will take peace straight up.

Currency in 10 at current pace but could be bumped up due to the bank account. I just got Lit on my last turn. I didn't change any courts to libraries because I didn't know if I should or just go ahead and build the courts.

OK Tubby explain to me your re-anarchy. I know you can see how many turns you'll be in anarchy on F1 but how did you go into anarchy again? Just hit govt. type again?

The trick is, when you research the Govt. tech, you get to choose which tech you research next before the "We have discovered a new form of Govt..." popup.

From the "Choose next tech" popup, go to "Big picture", switch to F1, and revolt from there.

If yuo don't like what you get re: anarchy time, you can revolt again from the "We have discovered a new Govt" popup.

However - this trick, as far as I can tell, no longer works for Conquests. You always end up with 1 turn less of Anarchy - but that's because the "Choose next tech" popup is shown at the end of Turn X, and the "New Govt" popup comes as the start of Turn X+1.

Yeah what eldar said. I didn't realize the bit about it really not working in C3C. I guess it just starts anarchy 1 turn earlier than you would have been able to start it otherwise. Regardless 6 turn anarchy is better than 9 turn anarchy so we were lucky.

Sure did. My daughter watched me for 20 minutes while I walked back and forth cutting the front yard. I also got the turnset for eldar04 done too. I was able to drop the paintball prep from my todo list due to the fact that most people don't want to play paintball in a downpour.

All in all a good afternoon's work. Whomp, you might want to check the builds. There are a lot of worker and court builds that might need to be changed. Also there are a few unmoved workers, I think. The warriors that are just farting around could probably be disbanded but move them to a city first.

Sorry for spamming here but wouldn't paintball be that much more interesting crawling around in muck!
Has anyone played whirlyball? It's played on bumper cars, you carry a jai lai (sp?) type scoop and try to throw a whiffle ball into a diagonal basket at each end of the court. What a riot.
