I have never done this but I think you just use the same tags as you would in a normal post. Try opening a post, make a link the way you would in a normal post (with the hyperlink button up top), and copy it into your sig, with this tag: [ URL="<Put in your URL here>"]Put in the link text here.[/URL] (with no space in the beginning)

OMG I need to link my sig to amazon! Here is my idea for the news paper.

Quick Points:

- One multiplayer strategy article
- Much more!

And I would also do a newspaper like ISD in the last game (BTW GW used my name for that). But probably wont quit. I got us a chat ( http://teamamazon.chatango.com/ ) now we just need a time.

link16, all you have to do is go to 'My Account' -> 'Edit Signature' then hit the url button and insert the url you want to link to. In between the brackets type the words you want to be displayed.

I would definitely be in to pitching in on the newspaper front, among others. Writing's pretty much my gig. So remake20, where might we go from here? An inaugural issue at some point with team member introductions? As well as a few other of the things that you suggested that don't require the game having started already?

i'd pay more attention to the join date then the # of posts... a lot of us are lurkers! looking forward to this game! when does it start and what are our roles???

About the game being started, I'm pretty sure the map hasn't been started being made.

How can it be, since we need to get what the teams want with the map since there are dimensions that are to be requested?

Then again, simply being on the forums means I'm distracted. Oh well.

Perhaps we as a team should put together a concrete list of what we would like in the map? Then every team could submit their requests to the map makers, and they can take it from there.

That is a very controversial issue. Click the "Team Kazakhstan" link in my sig if you want more info on the last MTDG game.

The short story is... first SANCTA quit in the middle of a war (against Kazakhstan and Cavalieros) and surrendered all its land to Kazakhstan, leaving their ally Saturn alone. Then Saturn, Cavalieros, and Mad Scientists quit. Kazakhstan did not quit.

One thing that is beyond dispute is Cavalieros was leading, most of the game, and that Saturn had the lowest score for most of the game... (and the lowest score when the game ended but I will let you read for yourself and decide.

I was not very active with Cav, but their talent pool was deep and several of the players who actually ran the show were already top-flight deity players. I've done my best to learn from it. I don't think I can give us the same oomph that say U_Sun/Oyzar/Rusten did, but I'll do what I can.

I saw Shaka's big face on the front page. I didn't know what he was talking about but I clicked, read, and still had very little clue. After reading many posts in this forum I have a better idea of what's going on here. But I still am somewhat confused you might say.

Without really knowing what was going on I decided to join a team and I set myself the daunting task of reading all of the team pages to see which to join. Luckily for myself this team was at the top of the list. Before I had read the entire first page, I felt relieved that I didn't have to read any other team pages. I knew from the first ceremony that I was already an AMAZON. I was coming home to my people. Then I proceeded to read every post and the memories started flooding back to me.

Can we make it official?

I have never played a CIV multi-player game before, but have recently been focusing on improving my single-player game, moving from Prince to holding my own in Emp/Imm games. I learn more all the time, and I know I will learn more here.

I would ask for pointers or a link pointing me towards info about Pitboss and multi-player games as I know not how they work.

I can't have a custom avatar until I hit 30 posts, but in the meantime I will use the non-custom, but still very sassy avatar you see here.

EDIT: With thirty posts I am trusted enough to wield a custom avatar. My avatar is a snapshot from my induction ceremony. The proudest day of my life so far.

Diana asks the warrior... What exactly do you want?

The warrior replies... I have come to join the AMAZON... but only if you can prove your skill in battle! And with that, she springs at Diana, slashing and thrusting... her silver blades glistening in the moonlight!

But Diana is too quick... she dodges and parries all the blows, and counters with a trademark power punch!... Sending the mysterious warrior reeling backwards into the dust!

But the mysterious warrior has one more trick up the sleeve... and pulls a gun!

But everybody knows... bullets bounce off Dina's magic bracers like so many tennis balls off brick walls...

Diana then prepares to deliver the Coup-De-Grace!

When the mysterious warior sees this, shock sets in and the only response is to exclaim... slack jawed... you are an amazing warrior! Truly you must be the legendary Diana! I have traveled far to join your cause!

Wiping the sweat from her brow... Diana relents...

"OK IlBrago, you fight pretty good... here's your golden rope, and welcome to AMAZON!"

Now for Hera's sake... put those things away before you hurt somebody... AMAZON is all about showing love!
