100,000 points, not units! He's done 309 units.

Just signed up, have been a watcher for a while.

Here comes 2x C2D @ 2ghz (Desktop and Lappy) and maybe an Athlon64 2800 :)

Hi stich0602, welcome :wavey:

From the results so far, it looks as though you're not using those dual cores to the full.

There's a multi-core (SMP) client you might want to try if your PCs run 24 x 7. It takes advantage of both cores to run units faster, and the work units it produces have higher points values. It is a beta, though.

OK I have an Athlon X2 4200. The price I paid for it a year ago I am not willing to discuss. Is he (SMP) beta client as easy to use as the graphical client? Can I pump up my results?

Well im running folding but its disapeared from my right hand corner, ohwell i think its still ticking away.

I noticed that with my old computer, that it does just dissapear from time to time. You're absolutely right though it is still folding. Next time you reboot it will show up again.

Unfortunately the summer heat has taken its toll on my folding. Hopefully it'll cool down soon and I can start running 24/7 again. I like winter better, my gas bill is lower because of folding.

you can set folding to work at less than 100% taper, mine is constantly at no more than 50% dont want the computer getting to hot.

It's not the computer getting hot, it's my house. Having a 300 watt heater in my bedroom far from the AC makes sleeping uncomfortable.

don't worry the servers may be down at Standford's end - what version are you running - what does the log file say

Congratulations to Schmiddi - who nearly beat me to 50K (I just held on to pip him by about 3 hrs)

There's no real harm. I think it's perfectly fair to reduce sources of heating in the house, especially if you're paying for AC.
