    Barb Threat Growing

    Cities
    Aloha(5) - Colossus in 3, Growth Negative
    Hello(4) - Axeman in 3, Growth in 7
    Hej(4) - Settler in 4, Growth Stagnant

    Workers
Plumber - Starts Mine, Finished in 4
Builder - Finishes Forest Chop (67H to Aloha)
Brick Layer - Finishes Forest Chop (67H to Aloha)

Sirians Eyes moves North along shore.

Barb Axeman are going to cause us problems, a second one has appeared this time near Hello.
The first one didn't attack our Axe but move NE so i move to cover. I alos gave him the strength Promotion

The second one has appeared S of Hello and might cause us a problem since we only have spears and warriors in the area. Hello has been switched to produce an Axeman. Depending on the barbs movement there is a chance our copper could get disconnected. Fingers crossed

On a brighter note, the 2 forest chops at Aloha have added 134 Hammers to the Colossus build reducing the time from 9 turns to just 3, so it will be done before the end of this term:)

    Barb everywhere!

    Workers
    Plumber - Mine in 3
Builder - Moves N, NE, Starts Cottage, Finished in 2
Brick Layer - Starts Cottage, Finished in 2

    Sirians Eyes heads further North

Now to our current concern, the barbs. Their jump to Axeman is not helpful really. Near Hej, the barb attacked our axe and lost. However there is a new one spotted next the the horses north of Hello but tha one is covered

South of Hello however is not so good. Of all the ways the barb could have gone, he picked straight for the copper of course. I though about sending the spear, but giving the high chance of losing it would just compound our problems. It would seem losing the copper for a few turns is pretty much guaranteed, miricles aside

Now what do we research next as Sailing is nearly done. The main chioces are
    Masonry-114 beakers ; Horseback Riding-357 ; Iron Working-286 ; Currency-572 ; Calandar-500 ; Construction-500.

    I still favour Calandar personally.

ALSO...if you move the spear to the hill with copper wont it provide enough of a defense to protect our copper.

The Pyramids wont be started for a while since were going to need more units to defend from the now more powerful barbs.

    Spear: Strength 4 + 25% hill bonus = 5.0
    Axe : Strength 5 + 50% melee bonus = 7.5
The odds were we would lose the spear and the copper, and have to deal with whinging about no military protection in Hello.

OK I forgot about the 50% ax bonus...I figured a 50-50 battle with a ax being built would be fine. An i understand your reasoning about not building the pyramids...I also just like taking a risk and building units while we are getting masonry.

With the Pyramids, we can still do them, but it will be delayed a little due to the barbs (who were only warriors until 2 turns ago but are now axes). Still there wasn't a definate yes or no to the proposal, maybe you can get the domestic minister to set up a poll on the issue:p ;)

@ all - We need to make a descision on research quickly. So far we have 1 for Calandar and 1 for Masonry

Remember that if you lose the resource halfway through building a unit the hammers get reset to use for another unit it isnt like c3c where you can carry on building.

I disagree entirely with the whole pyramids suggestion and believe we need to stick to the whole calendar plan for more happy happy :)

Final touches being put on Colossus for Grand Unveiling Next Turn:goodjob:

    Cities

    Hello(4) - Axeman in 1, Growth Stagnant
    Hej(4) - Settler in 2, Growth Stagnant

    Workers
    Plumber - Mine in 2
    Builder - Cottage Finished
    Brick Layer - Cottage Finished

Sirians Eyes head NW onto hill. We can now see what looks like a land bridge heading North. Judging from what we have seen around here its almost like Innovia is situated on a large choke point.

Barb climbs onto Copper hill. He will disconnect the copper but that will be the last thing he does. Next turn he is up against a promoted axe and a spear if needed. Copper should be only disconnected for 2 turns if all goes well.

This might come as a surprise to all, but we are reaserching Iron Working. Yes it wasn't discussed but i made an executive descision, so deal with it:p
No other news from around the world, Innovia doesn't have CoL yet.

    How about something like this:

    The Colossus

Before we see General W posting a Thread titled "Buttocks of Bronze?" containing so very average poetry on behalf of Aloha i am pleased to announce the construction of the Colossus. It is widely rumored that the President himself with his well was the model.

    Plumber - Mine finished
    Builder - Moves NE, E
Brick Layer - Moves NE, E

    Sirians Eyes continues journey North.

I didn't attack the Barb. The odds were a lot crappier then i thought they would be (around 32%), so i settled for trying to entice him off the hill with the axe and workers. The axe from Hej is also in striking range.

I have gone with a Worker in Aloha, because we can't build an axe, so i figured might as well start on a worker since we need them. Also went from mines to sea squares, notice how the demographics look better in that area:D
Research times are looking better too!:)
