Thank goodness for CFC mods!

Yes, I'm aware of that and I specifically stated something of that sort in a later post, to avoid confusion. I stated that mods have to interpret the rules as they see them, since some are unclear. If the rules were too rigid, then there wouldn't be any flexibility in a situation where a rule wasn't written. I believe I had said the way I was interpreting one of the rules might be interpreted differently by a moderator.

Your somewhat new here, so I will make allowences.
Never again attempt to step in between a moderator and a poster when a moderator tells a poster something.
That is NOT your place.

Also, DO NOT cut and paste forum rules, I know them far better then you do, one of the unwritten rules is treat trouble makers as they should be treated, as well as knowing the history of posters, to which you obviously do not.

Being a rules lawyer is going to make your trips to CFC extremly umpleasent, because I won't have it.

Are we clear now?

I fully agree with cracking down on trouble-makers. I just thought being "nice" or "nicer" once in awhile might help resolve miscommunications or misunderstandings, which makes the forum better for everyone concerned, including yourself. I'm just offering an opinion, not telling you or anyone else how to do their job. As I've stated before, I think ALL of the moderators on this forum do an EXCELLENT job.

I cut and pasted the forum rules so I could back up my suggestion/opinion, not to make you look dumb or anything. I know the forum rules VERY well...I've read them thoroughly on several occassions, and I've been a moderator myself in the past (not here though). I'll make sure not to do that again though.

And I've been here since January, over 3 months...with 1700+ posts, I don't feel that I'm really that new. :)

Keep up the good work AoA, sorry about any miscommunication or misunderstandings between us.

Padma put it best...different forums require a different touch. :) I suppose this applies to posters as well. ;)

Oh sorry i didnt thought about that. But wheres the spelling mistakes?(im not native english).

edit-did you refer to the "You must unlearn what you have learn" thingy? Because thats the way it shall be(yoda just talks funny, thats all)

Government in your signature is spelled wrong.

There are those who are native English speakers who are alot worse at spelling than Yoda Power. :) For non-native English, I think he does very well.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't that only work for people with fixed IP adresses? And if you ban an IP range wouldn't that also affect people who use the same ISP?

A bit off topic, but since the whole range is banned, having a dynamic IP doesnt' really effect anything, since the change in IP isn't THAT dramatic between logons.

It will, however, ban the others w/in the specific IP range.

IIRC, a while back we did an IP ban because of a problem spammer/DL-maker, and took out half of Norway!

Whoops!! Keeping my fingers X'ed and hoping you won't have to IP ban a dutch range. Small country, you'll probably ban all dutchies at once when you ban a range.
