The Art of NESing (Image Intensive)

Although, it's also incorrect. I think it was Garlan Tyrell who fought in the melee, but, since he's the third son, his symbol was three roses. Willas, the crippled one who we've never actually seen, was the only who could bear a single rose along with Lord Mace himself. Loras bore two.

And Garlan is the second son, so two roses. Loras was third son. *is shot*

:p

Anyway, I *would* contribute, Symphony, but I'm really a terrible artist, and I don't have many places I steal from...

Oh, yeah, and emu, if you'd like, I could take a crack at changing the color of the flames on the sword. Shouldn't be too hard.

If your not too busy, I could use it for one of the Nes's im in..

On a slightly unrelated note, I think that NK should develop a Song of Ice and Fire NES. It could be interesting, especially if you start it right after Eddard Stark's death. Though developing a NES map of Westeros would be difficult, NK is up to the challenge.

I have a NES right now...

Though a map of Westeros isn't incredibly difficult. I'd just have to smooth it out. A lot.

every time I think about a battle I do or read about I imgaine it :) thousands of solderis attack each other :) I wish I could draw those...

Retroactive deletion.

Damn topic 'jackers. :p Look, planes!

Plane_Comparison.jpg

Highly biased towards American designs at present, but the competition lately hasn't been as noteworthy... though the Su-47 and MiG-29OVT are pretty cool. Would probably put the MiG-25 in as an Interceptor in the previous generation, maybe the MiG-15 instead of the F-86. An Il-2 will be in there earlier. If you can identify the designs at right, your choice of 50 Ninja or Pirate points. There'll probably be one or two things between them and the F-22 and F-35.

No brainer. lower right, YF-19 from macross plus. possibly the coolest fightercraft to ever be drawn. Valkyries just rock.

I am tempted to say the one in the upper right is eather a VF-19, the YF-21 , or from Macross Zero, which I have not seen yet.

I thikn Ravnica block has waay better arts :D (And for the record, no I didn't start at Rav)

And when all else fails, a roc would fit in just as well: -

For the record, someone should try a Ravnica NES too ;)

The Ravnica NES would be too hard, because the whole plane would be one city, and you would have to represent factions being underground too:(

But Ravnica has amazing art, but i think the Zuberi art is freaking amazing.

But the Skyknight Legionnaire piece would be amazing for a NES

Don't really understand much in modern American/Anglospheric fantasy, though I do greatly like Roger Zelazny (pretty hard to make a NES out of the Chronicles of Amber, though; however, the situation with the Lord of Light (basically, mixture of science fiction with Hindu mythology and fun stuff like zombie crusaders with death rays and a technocratic Buddhist revolution opposed by "divine"-led hordes of Hindu Luddites) is better in that regard, I think I even posted such an idea in one of those idea threads). I mostly concentrate on Polish and Russian books nowadays.

As for the pictures, personally I really rarely use them - well, maybe some occasional leader portraits or obscure flags.

Lord of light is very individual driven, with the deities and all, that might be hard to show in a NES. Plus there were only 4 factions really during the time of sam's wars. Unless you do the NES as set on the lord of lights world but focus on the struggles of the human princely states competing for divine favour...

That's also a possibility, but remember those single-nation NESes - such as Nessos. I didn't participate, but it was succesful before it died. Something like that could work, IMHO.
