The CFC Confessions Thread

Aretha's Respect, rather predictably.

Interesting it's blocked for you. I can't think why - usually some copyright issue for this particular version. But there's so many versions of this on Youtube - and you'll know it anyway - it's not worth me posting another.

Aussies get no respect, apparently

I had to shorten this list because there are many things in my life that I'm still not comfortable admitting, even to anonymous strangers.
This.

I don't hate you PE. You just said a few stupid things. I don't really *hate* anybody, not even on the internet, with the possible exception of Michigan.

The only reason I come here, to be honest, is because I often have long down periods at work, and this forum is updated often enough that I can justify having it open while i'm on the phone, or when I need a break from writing. I think I've outgrown this place, but I'm too lazy to find another forum.

Good luck trying to find one with the quality you see in this one.

We may joke about ourselves as "intellectuals", but in all honesty, when I want to see something debated, this is the first place I go because this is really the only place where you can get substantive debates that don't end up devolving into name calling and trolling. I've tried finding other forums, and well, they all sucked compared to CFC.

Quite. After CFC, most other places look like the YouTube comment section.:vomit:

I know! It seems like EVERY site is better than this one. The only one with worse quality is Apoplyton. :mischief:

Crap, that was clever.. but I am far too lazy to stop caring about bacon

Damn you're sharp for catching that. Right over my head the first time.

I'm a recovering romance addict and I have a history of giving too much in relationships while often (but not always, thankfully) attracting needy girls.

Spoiler more confessions :
I confess that I really, really, really don't want to grow up. I really don't. :(

I *hate* adult-hood, I really do. I pretty much fit every description of what TVtropes calls a Manchild.

Adult Child also comes to mind, although probably my case is probably not quite as extreme as that, considering I still want to be able to be intimate with a woman, and all that.

All I wanna do is have fun, without having to deal with this "work" silliness. Is that too much to ask? :(

But, we all already know the answer to that, don't we? :(

That's easy to solve dude :) Just get rid of the mental separation you have between "working" and "playing." There are so many fun things you could be doing that are also productive, it just depends on your interests. Create art, write programs, write stories, play an instrument, read about various philosophies, start a website, create videos, design video games, learn cool ways to edit photos, and practice these skills. Now obviously I don't know what you're interested in, so all or none of these might be applicable, but the greatest revelation I ever had was finding a way to make what I was working on interesting to me.

And really there is no such thing as growing up, and you never need to impress anybody. Not your friends, not your boss, not your family, not your teachers, not the girl you like, not even yourself. Do what you want with your own life, nothing bad can happen. The very fact that you are alive is the only important thing.

I eat Chick Fil-A at least three times a week at my University food court.

What's wrong with that? Does it have something to do with the CEO of the company expressing his rights to free speech? (I really, REALLY don't get why you feel bad about that one.)

From the age of 13 to 18 I did my homework at home maybe 5% of the time.

You remind me of my cousin:p

I can't even run a mile.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't either:)

I hate bacon.

I'm also very good at exposing lies:)

Yup. I left CFC a while back when the trolling was strong to the point it wasn't worth dealing anymore (thankfully certain members either got bored of trolling and left, or got banned) and I came back with the same conclusion regarding most other forums.

That and I can't actually justify eating meat.

Which concern is more important to you?

If I lived near a Chic Fila I would have gone on August 1st. Not because I have issues with gays but because I have issues with people (Mayor of Boston) who want to punish free speech. And that's not a confession. I'm proud:)
