This time around my votes can be bought

I would pay you 1PC for a vote on Duke Blackstone. Same goes for Nictel, not sure if he's implying he has allies/friends voting with him, but I'll pay for votes to permab& Blackstone.

I still think it's a solid call, but more importantly, this selling of votes also surprises me, and if you all vote for Blackstone that's a guarantee your votes are not being bought out by more sinister parties. I'll pay you tonight/as soon as I can, but I believe I can afford it already anyway.

Know this sounds along the lines of scheming from someone like Cruella Deville, but hey, it's still a safe move to permab& a poster who all indications point to being a troll or DL or some other threat to our community, not many can escape a permab& I'd imagine, and he's not even around.

I'm also cool with tailless for the handbook and beer. At the least, it seems we've got him, Takhisis, Kennigit, who knows what others claiming to be part of a moderator faction perhaps, but if that's true and they are good guys it's worth a shot to see who can be trusted, as much as giving the items to anyone else.

Never claimed to be a moderator faction. Also, worth a test to see if we can be trusted but you do not actually test.....

Both the beer fountain and virus handbook to me, as last time.

We cannot allow the risk of another set of these to go into the wrong hands.

I suppose I'll go ahead and give the beer to tailless.

What I don't want is some scrub who can't use the virus handbook for good to steal it away from me. I like my pies resting on the window sill in my own possession, thank you very much.

I remember what happened the last several times things didn't go well on similar votes, but at any rate that certainly should not count as the last time of an actual failed situation - Jar-Jar Binks claims that honor for his own, and that was a far worse result than ol' Wormy ever was.

Unless there's an old and wise Merlin with better ideas, I'm seeing this as clearly the best use of any resources or ideas of my own right now, and it's simply not worth taking the chance that Blackstone is some dangerous villain, given his first survival (and if he's a neutral/Joker or something, we lose nothing compared to abstaining anyway)

I guess that means there is probably no need to offer to buy anyone's vote, so I'll retract that offer. But why those folks are selling their votes, is still interesting.

And Blackstone, I do wonder if you can care to explain what actually happened yesterday, and why you don't prefer a more adult establishment like a Hooters . I'd unvote if I could understand more about you, I assure you it was nothing at all personal that I knew about your character or had any goals against you.

And Zack - abstain could still feasibly win today, and we would have no permab&s, so I could see that as an option too if we get explanations on curious stuff but no other leads.
