Morrowind leveled monster lists are not so well balanced and most monsters are beatable by relatively low level characters. Actually that was the reason a few mods were released making the lists more difficult. I think it was a problem of your character development than monsters

It was the bonebiter quest I believe.
The skeletons were giving me huge problems.

At this stage I have 100 Destruction and 100 Altercation (?) and about 80 Msytism. 80 Restoration 50 summon and finally 50 Heavy amour

Yet those skeletons even with magic shield on were ripping me apart. My magic spells were doing such pitiful damage. What was i doing wrong ?

I purchased the Collectors edition last night.

So far I haven't done too much with it but what I have seen I absolutely love.

My system specs are;
Athlon XP 2600
512MB DDR333
256MB Radeon 9600

Cause I haven't played it too much, I haven't run into too much trouble. I did get a Direct X9 error on installation which was resolved by going to the official site and checking out their support page.

I just got the game, but I realize that I need a new graphics card. Which company is making the better graphics card right now, ATI or nVIDIA, and which card would you recommend?

I think GeForce 7800 has the best price/performance ratio ATM with graphic cards, I believe I'm getting one at summer.

Do you know where I can make or improve my weapons/armors with magic elements? I have soul gems and found elven longbow and dagger what I would like to improve.

ATM I'm 12 level mage and playing main quest "Aid for Bruma" which is fairly annoying mission

From what I see you are a mage character and indeed melee enemies can cause you some damage. It may be that you are using the wrong technique for the enemies you are fighting. If you want, please post all your stats and equipment and I could take a look

Are you talking about Morrowind or Oblivion?

Im telling you,train yourself with a bow to at least 60-70,then use a bound longbow spell(iron,steel or silver arrows work good) and you'll slay all those skeletons in 1-2 blows.Promise.

More than "fairly" for me. Really it's the weakest quest I've seen in this game so far. Go from city to city, go to castle, Count: "blah blah I'd love to help but here's that pesky gate outside" - so go to the gate, some old crap, not even a challenge, close the gate, go to the Count: "blah blah wery nice of you to help us now we'll send help" I feel like I'm stuck in a bad recurring dream...

What were they smoking when they wrote that quest...


And the real reason I am so pissed is that I just got kicked out of the Fighters G. for..... stealing from them. Say what? I never stole a thing in my "life", my bounty is 0, even the Nine still like me, and they say I stole from them . Bug?



Oh well *snif* I will have to kill those 20 bears to get back in.... I hear the northern mountains are good for bear hunting.

Heh, quite true Though it had one positive side; I got at the same time change to complete swiftly all the recommendations to Arcane University in Mages Guild and at the same time I completed quest Though I have one more gate to close but now I'm in the guild 100% !

Hey thanks for the tip! I have quest where I have to get 20 bear pelts for mage. She's rumoured to be very powerful destruction mage so I hope I can get some nifty spells from her or skill up

Given time constranints I dont think I will reenter Morrowind. AGAIN.
I found traveling rathe bring and main quest rather unfullfilling. Probably because I played and finnished Gothic II

Which I found superior to morrowind. (much tighter main quest)

EDIT: Iam looking forward to Oblivion thou.
(Might bite the bullet and pick it up for this easter long weekend)

Simply put, Amazing, only complaint I have is that on 360 if you play for an extended period of time the load screens tend to get long and if you play for a really long time, it sometimes freezes the machine, but that could just be that I haven't bought the hardrive which is what is supposed to make everything good.

As to the game itself.. There are side quests in side quests in side quests, its insane how much is in this game, I mean INSANE! Whoever thought this game up really had to be Crazy, sane people dont think up things like this. When I first started playing it reminded me of the feeling I got way back when, when FF7 was released.

Anyone else notice how annoying it is to get back into the Fighters and Mages Guild, I have to find 20 Daedra Hearts and 20 Vampire Dusts, I dont even know where a vampire is in this game beyond the guy in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

Finding 20 deadra hearts shouldn't be so hard, just enter into Oblivion And I'm now in Mages Guild and that wasn't so hard.

Oh and do you guys know know where I can buy cheap house for all of my items? I'm carrying all the time at the limits, even that I have constantly Easy Burden spell on. It's not so shaby to notice that you couldn't pic cool enchanted sword from Oblivion gate just you had too much stuff to carry with

And I have the same problem on the PC... Minus the load times, but it does freeze. And also it's almost sure to freeze after a long playing time when I try to exit the game. I had to reboot my PC a few times already. So that would indicate some problem in the code... I hope there will be a patch before I finish this.

Well the Count of Skingard is a vampire I think , but I don't know if it's a good place to start....
