The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Iam pretty sure with your FX5500 you should be able to TWEAK the ini files manuelly. To greatly reduce the graphic card load.
you can remove ALL the bumpmapping (such as in the oldbivion patch) and disable the muti-light sourceing.
Thanks alot.:goodjob: I'll look into this, before I make the investment.

I am at level 19 now and have around 5000 Gold. I am thinking of spending it all on a black horse and then go to the Mystic Dawn shrine near the lake to get the amulet of kings. (I went in that cavern not long ago and one guard in the cavern asked me to give him all my possesions. :hammer: )

BTW, there was an ogre near the cavern and I used my boot of water walking to walk into the lake and just kept shooting the ogre from there. Each time the ogre tried to reach me, he would get immersed in water and then had to go back to the shore.

Here is a funny screenshot...must be a bug:

After finishing the painting quest... nice apron:

0.o Thunderfall, something looks different in your item list than mine.... Also, if you want a free horse, go to Maborel Priory and take Prior Maborel's horse, it doesn't have a ownership tag on it. :D It's the only horse I've ever used and i'm at level 21.

Probably because I installed an interface mod (BTmod). It makes the item list font size a little smaller and the list longer. Also the map screen is bigger.

Besides that, I also installed the Francesco's leveled creatures-items mod and Quest Award Leveling mod.

I do have that horse. It's not as fast as the black horse though. :)

BTmod is a must... the original setup is for displaying on a TV set.

I'm now using a special horse called Shadowmere... it's strong, it's fast, and it's immortal. You have to be a very bad boy to get it though ;)

That's the DB horse, ain't it?

OOh, so the Black horses are faster? I have a house in Cheydinhal, gunna go getme one.

Iam riding the UNICORN its the fastest horse in the game.
Just remember not to draw weapons when around it. Perfect for spell casters

I discovered by chance the unicorn. It started following me, and was killed by wolves, somewhere.
Now, I've got the Hircine quest, and I have to bring back a Unicorn horn... But as there seem to be only one unicorn in the game...

Wow, riding unicorn? That's cool! Hope I could encounter one eventually.. :)

What level are you guys at now?

I've two characters:

First one is an Imperial female, class Imperial Knight (the default one), sign of the Lady. She's level 32, and I started the main quest too later with her. Those fights with the top-tier daedra are quite annoying (easy, but lengthy, and you will get knocked in the air flying back no matter what), so I moved the saves and stopped playing her.

The second one is a Breton female, custom class (stealth and magic), sign of the Mage. She's level 26 now and much more powerful than my first character. She finished Kvatch at level 10, then continued the main quest at around level 15. There're still lots of guild and side quests for her to do.

I'm thinking about to start a pure mage, but I want to have the ability to delete spells first. So for now I'll play around with my second character.

BTW the Unicorn may not be that cool. I've read reports about its bugged AI... it will attack NPCs unprovoked. People said they dismount in front of city gate, and the unicorn charges the nearby guard. Unicorn is then killed by guards, and the player got a bounty.

Personally I haven't tried using the unicorn as mount... I always return the horn for the artifact. And the DB horse is cooler

I've a level 25 female Nord, custom class (Weapon Master). I'm the warrior guild master, but I'm stuck with the mages as I'm very bad at magic...
I'm also the Arena Grand Champion. I'm not very far in the main quest (I have to go to the Daedric shrine).
'm trying to make the Daedra lords' quests

Yeap it is. its AI is designed to attack NPCs who have weapons out.
I found it quite tough it was able to take down trolls, wolves and boars. I'll see how it stands up against a brown bear.

it also like to go "wander". but when-ever you auto travel you automaticly ride the unicorn again.

Monsters leveling up with you is a bit too much I think. It seems Francesco's leveled creatures-items mod alleviates the problem somewhat w/o making the game easy.

I have done lots of sidequests mostly for random NPC in town. My rank is very low in all the guilds. Guess I should do some guild quests before doing the main quest further.

Do you know what option I would like to have? Character based saves! It's piss to start new character when you have to scan through those saves who's going and where and this is especially when you have multiple players with one game.

@ 777:

It's stupid for Bethesda to leave out a way to name the save, but there're work arounds.

1 - You can name your save using the console. Press ~, then type "save {name}". However, the save list won't be sorted according to the names, and of course it's not for XBox.

2 - Use a batch script to move the save files. Or maybe someone has already made a save manager with some fancy GUI.

Finally obtained the Umbra sword yesterday! WooHoo! :D Even better, the Umbra sword is a quest item and has no weight. Now all I need is the Azura Star so I don't run out of soul gems...

Defeating Umbra was pretty easy. I have this sword with Disintegrate Weapon 50 pts on strike. After five or six hits, Umbra was fighting hand-to-hand. :D The Disintegrate Weapon/Armor effect is very useful. After I got Umbra, in a fort nearby, I got an alkavari sword that had Disintegrate Weapon 100 pts & Disintegrate Armor 100 pts.

Question: The only ways to enchant items are using Sigil Stone or at the Arcane Unversity?

I think so. I haven't gotten into the arcane academy yet, so I don't know. Also, I got a wicked sigil sone today that can enchanted a daedric Longsword to do about the same damage as goldbrand. Hee. Do you know where Azura's star, is Thunderfall?
