The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I finally got an Xbox 360 hard drive, and when I been playing the game, it's been raining almost non stop. The only time it wasn't raining was the moment I got out of the sewers and a small moment in the morning after leaving a building.

Isn't it normal to have rain all day if you are in England ? :p

aww man I really need to get playing this game again. But I just bought Series 1 of American Dad and Star Trek: TNG heh

 Believe me, you're not the only one. I had that for quite some time as well.

Urgh.. I killed Fathis Aren for the Arrow of Extrication. Now I need 30 Daedra Hearts. :(

There's a chest in the Archmage's room (once you finish the Mage's Guild quests) that you can increase ingredients once a week. A Daedra Heart is considered an ingredient.

Okay, I'm having trouble killing the will-o-wisps for the gold dust, so I can make an offering at the Azura shrine (Blades quest). I've tried both magic and a silver dagger, but I just can't defeat one. I'm only level 5, though I'm unsure if that matters.

How, or what is the best way to defeat a will-o-wisp?

If I were you I'd wait a litle while until your speed and athletics are up qutie a bit. Once you kill a will-o-wisp you have to chase after it's corpse which has been known to roll on for a mile or two. Uless it his a rock it can't roll over (or throguh, THAT was annoying).

Killing them, I used an enchanted bow and kept my distance, they aren't so hard when you're level 20.

Well, I have all the released Unique Landscape mods! Can't wait to try them out!

I just downloaded a water mod - atleast it lets me actually see what's underwater (when I'm underwater).

I have found some new cool weapons.

First, these two Ayleid knifes, one to pary, one to fight

Now, with a saber instead of the knife. In this configuration, it does 10 damage.

But if I use a special spell, it switches to two handed style, with the same weapon! And this time it does 12 damage. Of course, the same spell allows switching back to two weapons style. And if you use it when equipping the parying knife alone, when it switches it to your attack weapon.

I don't remember what the water looked like in Vanilla, I got the Natural Enviroments mod pretty quickly.

Has anybody else tried the "Thievery in the imperial city" quest mod?
Brilliant mod made by a guy with a hillarious axcent:lol:

No I have not, but I will now! (or later)

I HIGHLY recommend the Unique Landscape mods, they are VERY beutiful, The Oblivion Mod Manaher is a VERY useful tool! It creates it;s own archive invalidation text for one thing, I now can use map mods! :D

But does it affect preformance? I have to have my graphic settings petty dam low and i cant afford any mod that eats up more of my already overworking 128mb ati radeon x300 card..

Unique Landscapes might drop your performance then. They are beutiful but also denser forests mostly.

Though the moor one shouldn't affect your performance since it doesn' add any tress. And the desert one (unreleased) won't either.

OBMM won't affect performance.

Except I can't use it because I've been kicked out of the Mages Guild. :( Hence the 30 Daeda Hearts.

You can buy some from shops, or just go to a nearby Oblivion Gate... Closing one gate should get you enough daedra hearts. :)

Nice ones, Steph. Are they added by a mod? I cleared lots of Ayleid ruins and haven't found anything like that.

Last night I was in the middle of "Virtuous blood" quest and stumbled upon an Ayleid ruin of Belda?. Which I decided to investigate. I was sneaking around killing monsters at distance when I saw this shadowy figure approach me through a dark corridor. I thought "Marauder" and almost took a shot at it before I realized it looked familiar. I waited it to come closer since if it was an enemy it couldn't detect me with 60% Chameleon. -- Sure enough it was Baurus telling me how hard it is to find me and asking have I found anything new about MD.

Yes, it's a mod mad by Adonnay. In fact, I have two mods from him.
One add most of the Ayleid weapons (knife, sabre, two handed sabre, bow and arrows), in different version. Available in a "shop". There are also a few magical weapons somewhere (I haven't found it yet).
The other mod had the largest two handed blade (preview in an earlier post).
I like these mods: the weapons are nice, tne scabard are not to big, there is some interesting concepts like parying weapon or one handed/two handed style...
And it's not a killer mod : the weapons are expensive, and not to powerfull : 10 for a sabre is good, but it doesn't completly unbalance the game!

Belda has no quests in it, unless one follows you in. Heh heh, I take it you don't have the Belda slyum (SP?) mod which adds a (VERY nice) house next to Belda.
