It appeasers the the Epstein birthday book will be released one page at a time and Trump is listed as one of its contributors. So as to not overwhelm the MAGA Presidency thread, let's post the upcoming news on Epstein here.

Trump’s Name Is on Contributor List for Epstein Birthday Book

The Times also reviewed other records of the president’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, including an inscription in which the future president called him “the greatest.”

President Trump’s name appeared on a contributor list for a book celebrating the 50th birthday of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, evidence that he participated in the collection even as he denied that he signed a sexually suggestive note and drawing.

Mr. Trump’s name is listed among dozens of Mr. Epstein’s acquaintances who were asked to contribute birthday messages for the leather-bound book in 2003. The list, reviewed by The New York Times, includes well-known Epstein associates like Leslie H. Wexner, then the owner of Victoria’s Secret and other retailers; Alan C. Greenberg, who ran the doomed Wall Street firm Bear Stearns; and the physicist Murray Gell-Mann. Mr. Greenberg and Mr. Gell-Mann both have since died.

The Times also reviewed an introductory letter to the book, which was handwritten by Ghislaine Maxwell, Mr. Epstein’s longtime associate who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for conspiring to sexually traffic minors.

It is no secret that Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein were friendly in the 1990s and early 2000s, before Mr. Epstein was convicted of sex crimes in 2008. But facing intense criticism over his administration’s refusal to release files related to government investigations of Mr. Epstein, Mr. Trump recently has sought to play down the extent of their relationship.

The president sued The Wall Street Journal for defamation after it reported on July 17 that he had signed the note and drawing in the book, a leather-bound album compiled by Ms. Maxwell to mark Mr. Epstein’s milestone birthday. The Journal described the drawing as the outline of a naked woman with Mr. Trump’s signature below her waist, suggesting pubic hair. It quoted an imagined conversation between Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein that concluded with Mr. Trump saying: “May every day be another wonderful secret.”

I’m still waiting for that goose meme of the tubular goose chasing Trump asking him about the files.

I Covered the Epstein Case for Decades. These Are 9 Questions We Actually Need Answered.

By Barry Levine
Mr. Levine is the author of “The Spider: Inside the Criminal Web of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.” He began reporting on Mr. Epstein in the mid-2000s.

The American people — and above all, the victims of Mr. Epstein’s crimes — deserve answers to outstanding questions about how he operated, with whose help and in whose service. With the exception of redactions required to protect the innocent and materials that must be withheld while under court seal, the complete F.B.I. files should be released.

Here are nine unanswered questions about the Epstein case — ones that a curious, non-conspiracy-minded citizen might have — that the files might help answer:

I couldn’t read the articles posted elsewhere but my expectation is that nothing of legal consequence will come about from these files to anyone. Bad PR, maybe.

My reasoning is as follows: suppose there did exist a master list of people who had broken the law in the same manner as Epstein—why would the FBI, under both Biden and Trump, sit on that without making any arrests? The only other person I know of accused of any wrongdoing (at least who is in the public eye) is Prince Sweaty von Windsor.

Because the FBI are in the business of protecting the rich and powerful?

You make a good point, if Biden and co. had had the evidence to prove that Trump was a kiddy fiddler even he must have seen the value in releasing the data. If it come out that they did have this opportunity and choose not to use it there will be some serious questions to ask. Was he willing to sell America to Fascism to protect Slick Willy?

If this is the most they've got on Trump, it's a nothing-burger because, as the article states, that Trump and Epstein were buddies is an already well-established fact.

I find it difficult to care about an issue where the chief suspect is dead. But this is the kind of "inside the beltway" stuff where a certain segment of the media latches onto it like barnacles.
When the other non-chief suspects are some of the most powerful people in the world I am not surprised many people find it easy to care.

What is "happening" right now?* Tell me. So Trump is incensed that the WSJ says he and Epstein go way back, which apparently was a known thing in certain circles already. Well it must be a day that ends in "Y". He's a very easily insulted person to begin with. Took him about 10 seconds (figuratively) to get mad at Elon Musk. This doesn't put us any closer to a potential Epstein client list.

Of which there is none. And why is that? Think about it...You're involved in a darn criminal enterprise. You honestly think you're smart enough to avoid the police (for that long) but then you're also so dumb you have to look at some piece scrap paper to figure out which one your friends needs a minor to have intimate relations with...? Your noodle can't keep that uncomfortably-specific information straight? Really?!

*what is "happening" is that media outlets are insulted that they're being slighted by the government for not having full access to everything, because that's what reporters do. And that is the story which will continue in perpetuity...

Epstein and Maxwell were the top tier of a long running criminal enterprise trafficking underage girls for sex with older men. The details of that enterprise and who else beyond Epstein and Maxwell were involved has never been made public. Did Epstein have any employees who aided in his crimes? What about the billion plus dollars that moved through Epstein's bank accounts that were flagged by the money laundering processes? If participants in these crimes can be identified, should they be brought to light and prosecuted?

Should the hundreds of girls abused by Epstein get any level of justice for what they suffered?

I don't think they're insulted. I think they feel they're onto something after acting president did a 180 backward flip from "yeah, I'd definitely release those if I win" to "who the hell still wants those files?" after he won. As I understand, he is in the Position to just say no, as president, without the need to explain himself. Instead, he is comically trying to claim there's nothing of interest in those files, trying to conjure up a widely accepted support for his change of view on releasing (without calling it a change of view, and without gaining said support even among republicans). If files are a dud, like he says - why not release them? idk, I don't usually enjoy looking for and exposing Trump's flaws, but this whole change of boots mid-flight is pure comedy gold.

Well that would be Trump's fault for making it an issue in the first place, I would agree. I just don't see him relenting when he can easily say he's being pestered by his critics, until the next thing blows up in the Mideast and we're off this cycle again.

But apart from that...I'm just skeptical that there's some pile of evidence in re a criminal operation lying somewhere we haven't found, besides what Epstein took to the grave with him. As I think that's how independently wealthy people like him tend to operate. This isn't like, say, Enron here with whole wings of an office designed to hide fraud.

you keep giving an admitted rapist the benefit of the doubt, you should keep doubling down, it really makes you look good

We will see if Trump gets tired of waiting and decides to begin making moves himself.

Stephen Miller and the other ideologues are surely savvy enough to understand that military adventure is a fantastic distraction from domestic political issues. They can find pretexts ambiguous enough to make a case for action.

"If you looked up scapegoat in the dictionary, her [Gasoline] picture would be next to the definition," Markus [Guillotine’s attorney] said. "She's keeping her spirits up as best she can."
Yes, on the opposite page, under scumbag.

(It’s a small dictionary.)
