The Forgotten Tribes: Join the project or suggest ideas!

Tarascans have been included as the P’urhépecha.
Tlaxcala will be a city-state
Can’t find anything on the Atzcopalcans
Teotihuacan will be included as a wonder or city-state.
Also adding Mixe-Zoque as a Civilization.

Tarascans = awesome
Not beat up on the next two.
Kinda wished for the empire, since they were bigger than the Triple Alliance, but, they were somewhat obscure, compared to their successors.

I could use some help finding information about the Choco and Cueva people, if anyone's interested. :)

Edit: Possibly the Chibchan people as well.

From Britannica Encyclopedia,

"Chocó, Cariban-speaking Indian people of the Panamanian and Colombian lowlands. The Northern Chocó, the most populous, live in villages along the lower reaches of rivers flowing into the Golfo de
San Miguel (in Panama) and the rivers of Colombia’s Pacific coast; the Southern Chocó are concentrated around the Río San José; and the Catio inhabit the eastern portions of the Atrato valley.

Chocó villages consist of round dwellings on piles, usually along rivers. The Chocó practice shifting horticulture, the slash-and-burn pattern common throughout much of tropical America. Unlike most of their neighbours, the Chocó grow only food crops. They also hunt with bow and arrow and with blowgun and poisoned darts.

Chocó society is organized around the household, the oldest male being head spokesman. Because of shifting residence resulting from the ownership of fields by both men and women and because of the necessity of living near these fields, the members of the household are not always the same. The Chocó have legends of battles with the neighbouring Kuna; and they were successful in repulsing the Spanish on several occasions in the 17th century."

A very good Chibcha mod exists already. Seriously, check out Optik's ANAC pack, the civs are all very well done, and he gave permission for them to be used in mods (of course, you have to note that he made them, but anyone with a shred of decency would thank the creators anyways.)

Looking at the logos, the Tarascan and Mexica logos might look better with a different color scheme, there are already so many shades of brown.. Maybe a dark red/dark green, gold/dark green, or dark green/black scheme?

Yes, I was contemplating some colour changes for them - we need diversity ;)

I'll have some new colour schemes in a bit.

I suppose the redone Mexica and Tarascan logos are more distinct now. I personally would have chosen different colors, but that's irrelevant. Choco came out well.

The Mexihca logo should look more like this in my opinion

http://www.mexicauprising.net/mexicaflag.html

And you can call it Mexihca instead of Mexica because Mexihca is what they called themselves meaning of Mexihtli because Mexihtli led them from Aztlan, I mean that's what I call them

If you're tweaking them I would suggest making the Jaguar Warrior replace the swordsman instead of warrior, call it Cuachicqueh (or Quachicqueh whichever your preference) because it was a higher military order and Jaguar Warrior is cliche, and have Calmecac & Telpochcalli (one building) as a UB instead because they had the first universal education system and I think that should be highlighted it would give small bonuses to unit experience, culture, science, and great people spawn rate

I wouldn't use that flag, first off, its not really a Mexica flag. Read the description, it's got a few issues.
Mexica/Mexihca is just spelling for pronunciation, its effectively the same word (unlike saying Aztec). It's just more commonly written without the h.
I would leave the UU, it fits well in game. There's eventually going to be a new tech tree, anyways. Jaguars are better than Eagles, IMO. Plus, Cauchicqueh could be a Tarascan unit.
The UB represents the Triple Alliance specifically, so I wouldn't mess with that, either. It indirectly leads to science, anyways, from the population bonuses.
In all, I think logos, names, and cities are all that they need changed, honestly. I would focus on the Tarascans, they're Nahua, too.

It's the best lead we got for a Mexihca banner, it hasn't been proven but it's the best lead, and the current logo, no offense to the artist, doesn't look Mesoamerican to me, it looks more like a Native American Thunderbird to me. We can use it later on for another Civ though

The UU and UB (although Jaguar Warrior instead of Cuachicqueh might be better) I disagree, don't want to have an argument over it, I just respectfully disagree

I'll agree on the logo, I think it's supposed to be the eagle, though.
As for the others, I wasn't saying that they wouldn't be better, I was suggesting they get used for the other Nahua civ, since the existing one has "professional" components. It would fit with the Tarascans, as they were a Nahua culture.

Wait a minute, is the Tarascan symbol the Kukulkan glyph?

Edit: Maybe not, but it looks kinda familiar, somehow..

Eagle, thunderbird, looks like either one

I don't know if the Tarascans had Calmecac and Telpochcalli though, I think that was only the Tenochcas

If we could somehow simplify that logo for the Mexica; I wanted to use that one, but simplified it too much (hence the bird like thing).

Which one, the banner I posted, an eagle on a cactus with an atl tlachinolli on it's beak in a sun, seems it can be simplified, colors can be green and yellow

Do you have a leader for the Chichimeca yet, I'm thinking Francisco Tenamaztle
