I used to love this place a long time ago but left because most of the people at the time were not very nice. Today I happened to just stop by for old times sake and see what's going on and was quite surprised by what I saw.

Most of you seem nice now. There doesn't appear to be any bitter political discussions or calls for world wide Bolshevism as far as I can see. Rock on CFC'ers! :goodjob:

I used to have a bad thing happen to me every time I dropped by so I could not come back. Bad things like that don't happen to me anymore, and that's nice too!

Ya Moff, communists are like that. They take control, shout victory, and 80 years later they get tired of pouring steel for tanks and say the heck with you 5 year plan! Screw off quota! If they pretend to pay me, I'll pretend to work!

Then they have a new revolution and eventually put in a dictator who used to work for the horrific secret police.

But that last bit hasn't happened here yet. :mischief: Poly however...

Hey a coetaneus fellow poster!

I have also noticed a change in the general attitude for better. Myself included. Maybe we are older and wiser... :old:

Thank you :) I single-handedly changed the forum, btw. In a Jack Reacher way.

the general atmosphere here

Just call me "Atmosphere". There's no need to use my formal title of "General", sir.

(I really wish I could claim authorship of this "joke", but I heard it told first by a rather attractive young woman >30 years ago.)

Nice to see you around, Moff! Do you still play PBEMs?

Are you sure you posted this in the right sub-forum?

Compared to what it was not very long ago, this place is downright heavenly these days.

Welcome back my dear old friend. I have been waiting for this moment for many years.

Much has changed around here, as you can see. Have some of the complementary pie.

Thanks for the pie! It's yummy. Good to see you friend, it's been a long time.

Tikanis my friend! Good to see your powers are still strong and that you continue to contribute to society in a positive way. I've been reading "Ships of Mercy" by Christos Papoutsky and the story is breaking my heart. Remember Smyrna!!

Hello brother! It's good to hear from you. I hope you and your family are doing well. I'm still gaming. Right now I have two PBEM games going: one for Battle Academy 2 and the other for Unity of Command. What games do you play? I'd be up for some more PBEM action with you. Send me a list of games you have and I'll compare them to mine. ;)
