My wife's chicken pot pie.

I have a fried rice dish with egg, rice, sausage and bacon that I love.

Hard to beat this:

Oh MAN does that look good right about now.

My favorite snack is to take some toast, melt some chocolate on it, and then spread peanut butter on top of it all.

Its like reeses bread, delicious.

Just introduced my 5-yr old and 2-yr old to the below this weekend. They loved them. :yumyum:

One thing I find very funny is English menu's in non-English speaking countries. I've never seen it written as snails, always escargot. Same for squid, always written as calamari.

It's the same thing in Ontario - I only ever seen snails referred to as 'escargot' and squid as 'calamari' on restaurant menus. It's probably because it sounds classy and not as disguisting :)

My first resturant job was in a fine dining establishment. One of the cooks was cooking up some calimari, and I asked him what he was cooking. Instead of telling me, he gave me a piece and asked what I thought. I knew it was squid, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Deep fried rubber band. That's what it tasted like.

As for snails...no thanks. There is no amount of beer and/or Everclear on this planet to get me to eat that.

Every two weeks during winter, we have this on sunday or saturday.

Raclette is a speciality of Savoy, where I come from.

However, we are using this kind of melting machine.

It's nice, because you cook melt your cheese independantly from the others. So anyone can eat at his own pace.

Raclette truly is divine, I'll even favour it over Fondue :)

as something quick, a tasty veal Bratwurst is always a treat :yummy:

and then there's an alsacienne speciality: Tarte Flambée or Flammekueche

Spätzli's truly delicious as well

Another favorite is Kobe beef. Of course, at over $100 a pound, I've only had the luxury of eating it once. I do love beef, though. Who knew Japan had the best beef in the world?!?!

calamari is kinda rubbery. And tasteless. Never tried snails though, i guess they're kind off earthy? maybe slimy ? LOL

Snails are good with garlic butter ... not slimy at all. A tiny bit of rubberness but a delicious entrée!
