In your opinion, who was the Greatest Founding Father of the United States of America? When choosing, please focus on his work as a Founding father and what he contributed to the founding of the United States.
It's quite clearly Benjamin Franklin. Not only was he a tremendous statesman, but he was an accomplished natural philosopher, and an athlete -- he swam across the Delaware River once because he didn't feel like waiting for a ferry. And he founded the first public library, a cause near and dear to my heart.
It's kinda like comparing apples and oranges. Washington - greatest general, also good president; Jefferson - greatest political theorist; Adams - greatest jerk; and Benjamin Franklin - greatest diplomat, pimp, philosopher, and hemp smoker.
