I remember maybe two years ago when I joined, an adbot would appear minimum once a week. In fact my contribution in reporting them still far outweighs that of my posting. Now you never see them, in fact I kinda miss them. So where did all the adbots go?

Admins took certain actions that prevented the vast majority from signing up, and from the posts of the vast majority of the rest from showing up.

vB is pretty good on updating their spam filters. I reckon that has a lot to do with it, along with CFC's host and their own personal spam protection.

Additionally the bots which come through the filters mainly post in either Civ5 GD, CivWorld (I guess the word "Facebook" is attactive) and in the CivRev forums (-> iPad).
I'd guess there are still 2 per day at the moment (can be more precise at the beginning of the next year, want to do an overview again), and it seems to be increasing again. But just a guess.

Yeah the CiV forum gets hit with adbots about ~once per day. They always post new threads in triplicates about random movies, which I find odd.

Yeah, that type of spam is prevalent at the moment, 50% I'd guess.
Haven't seen any spam for jerseys in the recent time, and only one bot for ugg boots. Which is a bit strange, because we had a massive amount of them last year.
But whatever. I'm not going to complain about the absence of spam ^^.

Hahaha sometimes they're funny though!

I remember one described Joseph Gordon-Levitt as peanut-buttery goodness or something.

Any idea what it was called?

I thought that one was about which wiki are you reading? As in it was devoted to entire wikis aside from wikipedia.

Uggies still popular overseas are they? Who'd have thought.
They are also rather popular amongst the Blonde Bimbos at my university, along with North Face jackets and yoga pants.
