The Most annoing ai CIV

Zulus, though, are consistently the most aggressive and irritating.

Romans got legionarys, greece got hoplites

All this talk about the persians. Theyve been my *****es in all my games! Doesn't matter which era. I love it when i get tanks before they do. Instant continent takeover.

Usually the war mongering civs give me the most problems (Germany, Aztecs, Zulu, and Rome), but in my last game, it was the Babs and the Egyptians that I hated.

I was the Greeks, and while I never once went to war with the Babs, we were neck and neck in tech the whole game. The Egyptians started several wars, and became HUGE, and switched to communist. Then, late in the game, decided I should give them fission (I had about 10 ICBM's by this point). Nay, I say, and war is declared (This was a monarch lvl game, btw)

So I convince the remaining 3 other civs to declare war on these gigantic yellow running dogs....and emptied my silos on all their core cities - very satisfying, but it took me forever to clean up the mess. Egypt lasted about 10 years after the nuke devastation, and I proceeded to win the space race.

Rome is never a problem for me. They are usually the first civ to get wiped out. If they're not there then it's Germany. Hee hee. It is a twisted coincidence - in two games they've been the first. Only in one game they were not first - the Germans were wiped first. They have yet to get erased.

Rome always gets their butts kicked in my games. And Zulus I bit later on. I find that they always do bad becuase they only focus on building units and seldom build infrstructure so they get behind quick. Not to mention they are agressive so don't make much friends...

Most annoying? They don't bother me AT ALL. Not ever have they bothered me like Zulu, France, and Rome have. They never demand tribute, suggest unfair trades, or declare war. Here's my record track on civs:

America: Stop demanding tribute from me! They do this in every game and they blab out that we thought that we were friends and all this other stuff.

Aztecs: Tribute rarely but still there.

Zulu: Look, I didn't give you literature. So don't declare war on me - but why do you anyway?

France: Better put your actions to where your words are, buddy...Joan D' Arc

Greek: Good pals - gave me 162gpt for oil once.

Germans: Same like Aztecs

That's around it...

I dont like the americans, they all ways get the best starting location, than they get the highest score causing me to go to war with them.

I always end up destroying the Americans really early in the game but the civ that gives me the most trouble are the Iroqouis because they always expand a lot quicker than i do and they also have better military/technology.

You know just cause they have the highest score doesn't mean you have to go to war ;)
If you get a lot of Military alliances just to try and trim them down. :)

Russia - they always declare war on me or sneak attack me. (very resource hungry, too)

AI schma schmi.

I propose to change this thread to 'most annoying human player' and let it rest 'till PTW comes around.

Start a new thread and let it rest until PTW, then.

:p You Scumbag! :) The egyptians are my fave!

In my last games, I usually had the most trouble with America and China. China being on a different continent, and always way ahead technology-wise (I'm playing Monarch level). Beat them in a space race though, as they didn't really seem to get their act together in building a space ship.
The Americans were close to me each time, and kept annoying me. They would declare war on me and other civs without warning - and then suffer because I managed to get more civs fight on my side.

Persians truly are scum - very powerful, very aggressive, and with a great early UU - in almost every game I play they are one of the superpowers

talk about annoying neighbors.
Once I wasRome and had Zulus in the south, aztec in the west and germans in the north.
the good thing is that they were warring eachother too often and I picked some cities (and lost some too)
but you must think in 3 things: war, war and war.
they dont let you concentrate in any other thing!

I think we fought 5 world wars during thousand years!!!

Shaka's to insane to be really dangerous. In I think all games I've played which've featured the Zulu, they've been either dead or reduced to a handful of cities by the beginning of the Modern Times. Germany has similar, but not so pronounced, suicidal tendencies.

Rome always seems to do poorly in my games. Perhaps since they tend to start near Egypt, which's usually very strong.

Speaking of Egypt, it seems to me that the AI always does best with the Industrial civs; Persia, Egypt and China tends to be superpowers, while France and America usually do pretty well too.
(Quite possibly, this does suggest that Expansionist and Commercial are weaker than the other traits, and that Industrial is the strongest. However, America and France also happen to be the Industrial civs with late GAs. It'd be interesting if somebody did a decent statistical analysis of the factors that affect AI preformance.)

What do you want to do with the germans and the english calle?

burn them!

Tell me calle, what do you want to do with the world?

BURN IT!

I hate England the most.
I hate the expansionists because they always snatch the goodie huts just before I get there.
England also no matter how far away she is, declares war and forms an alliance. Before you know it I am fighting half the world.
I prefer to start next to the Persians or the Romans because I have a good chance stopping them getting iron. But they can be tough if they start the next Civ over.

I hate them all, but America and China have been my nemesis (what's the plural of nemesis?) the last two games. I was SO pissed at the Americans last game. I started on this BEAUTIFUL large continent with 2 great starting cities, wheat, flood plains, luxuries everywhere, resources, about 50 grassland squares. I found the Americans on one corner of the island, and put my third city close to their borders to block off their expansion (sorta, anyway). Lo and behold, the Americans ROP-rape me about 5 turns later, destroy my city, pillage roads, etc, kill workers...

By the time I finally recover, get iron for my immortals, and attack them, they have 8 cities to my 3, barbarians were killing me regularly, and I was hopelessly behind in everything. What a waste of a beautiful start. I wish I'd saved it to post, because I'd love to see what some of the really good players here coulda done with it.
