Anyway, this thread is for discussion of both the Broodwar and Starcraft 2 pro-game. I know some of you follows this stuff (I am thinking of Kraznaya and OwenGlyndwr, among others). Discuss builds, players, upcoming tournaments, and other miscellania. Effusive praise for foreigners will earn you my derision

Been watching a lot of White-Ra lately... ferociously good protoss. He likes going for a very early robo in pvt, but I can't seem to master it - It leaves you weak to early pressure unless you have fantastic gateway unit micro.

Is that Boxer the real boxer, or is it marine king prime?


Team liquid net's youtube channel have been doing some white-ra replays recently, including a 5 game final against TLO. Worth watching.



Oh and quick ninja edit, if anyone wants to help me improve, I'm a bronze Protoss (though I should be silver soon). Always looking to play some matches against better, or same standard players, so if any of you fancy giving me a beating, I'd love to take it.

Wow. I remember hearing about him years ago, before I found out about sc2... something of a legend, if I'm right.

You need to read this post, it's absolutely hilarious.

Also, if you must watch SC2 (the inferior game), you should watch these series: Fruitdealer vs TOP (GSL S1), FoxeR vs Nada (GSL Season 4), Jinro vs Idra (GSL Season 4), and FoxeR vs Jinro (GSL Season 4). Now, because GomTV and Actiblizzard operate off a borked business model, you won't be able to find GSL VODs (which are, unfortunately, probably the only SC2 VODs that you should consider watching for purely entertainment value because of the quality of play and stakes involved) on youtube, you have to go to ambiguously legal sites with Youku VODs like this one.

The database of BW vods is so diverse that it really depends on what you're looking for. OSL and MSL finals, as well as Proleague finals, are always good for high quality games with high stakes, but there are some epic and entertaining games/series with much less at stake. There are also VODs which are important to BW history where revolutionary builds were first employed and therefore are very important in understanding the metagame, but those games/series tend to be one sided and not very entertaining (See: Bisu vs sAviOr, Flash vs Stork).
