The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

I don't see the image in the second spoiler.

Again, but with Imgur instead of photobucket:

Those religions in Europe are fairly messed up too.

I've seen Islamic Spain in games before. In fact, the first time I saw Spain successfully oust the Moors from Iberia, they promptly converted to Islam. lol!

Few photos from first half of my Rome Marathon.

Taoism is standard Greek shenanigans, Islam holy city of Nantes was entirely my doing. But on that note...

Spoiler :
I have literally no idea how this one happened. Buddhist holy city is in India, yet one random spread later...

Um... what the hell happened here? Not a city you see every day.
(Incidentally that Inca collapse was from an OP as hell India who unfortunately collapsed not long after themselves)

Surely Cork wouldn't have been too much of an ask for the city map?

The medieval equivalent of Singapore?

Long live the anarchist Taoist Siberian Empire!

On the Buddhism in Rome, could be from the Silk Road maybe?

Buddhism spreads to Europe all the time. Open borders to India and Persia yo!

I'm sure this happens from time to time but I was really surprised that the Babylonians lasted so long:

And the collapse date:

They lived on in their one city of Dalmun, on the Persian Gulf.

If the Holy Roman Empire becomes orthodox, shouldn't it be the Holy Greek Empire? Or the Unholy Roman Empire? Or the Holy Eastern Roman Empire of the North?

Not really, they were claiming continuity with Roman Emperors, which were called that even in the de facto Greek eastern empire.

I'm still waiting for Zorro to be a leaderhead in a Zoroastrian Mexico.

:goodjob:

Make it happen Leo.

Anyway, classic Russia collapse (I'm Rome, but still):

There's a few strange colonies in this game; a Mughal Manchuria, an Ottoman Transoxiana (their capital is Mecca, but that's my fault)... and it's almost 1600 and the only European colony is Belem. France, England and Spain have all collapsed of their own accord (meaning I have built a historical Roman empire in 1550, until Morocco went and declared independence).

Double post, not even sorry

Spoiler :
Poland and Morocco didn't want to be left out:

Now, clearly, this isn't an OMG on the face of things... I'm Rome. What is surprising... every single nation that doesn't exist here collapsed completely independently. No wars from me, no consequential ones from anyone else (not even sure any cities have changed hands). But Spain, then England, then France, then Scandinavia, then Russia, then Byzantines, then Portugal, then Ottomans, then HRE, then Poland - in fairly quick succession - just up and collapsed. The result of this is a me (Rome) conquering all of Europe, and Mughals conquering India (including Tamil), Mongolia, Northern China, Tibet, Korea (all also collapsed independently - China survived Mongol invasion and collapsed later), Russia and Hungary. The only countries alive for a short period were me, Morocco, Congo, Ethiopia, Netherlands, Iran, Mughals, Thailand and Japan. China then respawned, Prussia came, Spain declared independence and I set Russia free (in Kiev and Rostov). Unfortunately I'm retiring from the game, as my stability has plummeted along with my money - terrible terrible management from me :P Anyway, here's a picture

Also, weird thing happened where HRE founded city just as orange box was being made - hence Utrecht rather than Amsterdam. As for their decision to move their capital to Fort Zeelandia... beats me.

Maybe that last one is a bug...

I'm sure this happens from time to time but I was really surprised that the Babylonians lasted so long:

I had AI Babylon live until the spawn of Turkey once, they collapsed a couple turns after their capital was taken. My Egyptians took it back though and if I had gifted the city back to Babylon they might have survived even past that. I need to go through my old saves, perhaps I still have one from around that time.

AI Babylon hanging on until modernity would be quite something, wouldn't it?

Well, shortly after the collapse of the Moorish Empire...
