The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

3000BC or 600AD?

By city placement I would hope 3000 BC

Uh, wow. Just look how many horse archers are there. And why don't they invade the middle east?
They camped there until the Iranian spawn.

Erm... How did camels make it into Mexico? Are the Aztecs able to hire Camel Gunners as mercenaries? If so, maybe they should be excluded from the Aztec mercenary pool for realism. ;)

Bad city placements you say?

When did Scandinavia go from ignoring North Norway and Finland to having an uncomfortable obsession with it?

All of these are way too common, especially the Aztec and Japan ones.

They seem to be rather bipolar in that regard.

That's actually a llama gunner imported from South America (llamas and camels are close enough to be bred)

I started a game as Portugal from 3000 BC and after I spawned, the Byzantine Empire took Italy from the HRE and the HRE capitulated. That was fairly odd, but I didn't think much of it.

Later, they got into wars with Spain and France and took over cities in both and vassalized them as well:crazyeye:. In addition to dominating Europe, they lasted well into the 1800's when I won a historical victory.

This is pretty much where their borders were from when Spain capitulated until the end of the game. I have seen the Byzantines last past the 1700's before, but never anywhere near this powerful.

P.S: They also briefly controlled Brest and the Turkish capital I believe

My favorite two aqueducts.

French engineers need to learn that water does not flow up.
Portuguese engineers need to stop thinking that the more times an aqueduct crosses a river, the more they will get payed.
