I used 5 privateers to completely block Japan, and they did nothing but massing triremes, and didn't dare attack once. Later they upgraded to caravel, still did nothing. Very entertaining.

I was going for space race victory, Japan is too poor to conquer. In fact, I only conquered Patliputra once in this game. I can pillage the whole world with infantry if I wanted. But turn waiting time was long enough.

I typically get 2~3 Great Generals just from Privateers when playing England UHV. It's nice to get GGs during peace time, yes? Pax Britannica.

Don't know how the Moors survived for so long, because they were collapsing for about 500 years. However, Byzantium always survives, if they vassalise to Ottomans before Ottomans take Constantinople.

No, the Byzantine UP expires anyway for the AI, and even then they're removed from the list and the next possible civ is tested for collapse.

But I just had a game where the Moors were collapsing without effect for a long time, too.
