The "OMG! Look what happened!" Thread

Well.

What am I doing in Mexico, Peru & Scandanavia? :D

England only had two cities (London & Inverness)...and I got greedy.

Ah. For a moment, I thought your avatar might be relevant, but greed works. All desires are valid to a man with a full purse. Or strong army, as the case may be.

Pretty much.

Playing along historical lines is just not really that fun.

And hey, Discord is still technically a pony too ;)

EDIT: I forgot that I also invaded England to serve as a forward base against the French, who were getting way too powerful.
Their vassals, the Indonesians & the Khmer were already pretty close to me so I thought to bolster my own presence in their backyard.

A fine point. Though my economy always takes a downturn when expanding beyond the eastern parts of China, for some reason. I spam cottages, build plantations, have all the commerce buildings, but the coding gods seem to be bent on stopping me.

/reads edit: Ah, smart move. I should consider inter-continental expeditions more often in RFC. I could be like modern America.

anyone have this playing as the Inca?

No Europeans looking for gold? I wanted a powerful force to fight. D: But anyways, time for an unbalanced Incan Empire. ((I moved my troops out of the cities to avoid the plague))
Also: My northern-most city was built by settler from a goody hut.

Some more Dawn of Civilization goodies.

France is at war with India via the conquerers events.
I am India's master.
I am not at war with France.
Also in this shot is the fact that I'm at war with Portugal, who is owned by Spain.
I am not at war with Spain.

Try teching Fascism & Communism as fast as you can. Then switch to all the "Stalinist" civics.
It helps out with expansion and stability immensely and usually allows me to walk into at least three or four places where you really shouldn't be with impunity. (See my minimap for an example) After Fascism, try and grab Railroad quickly as that will really boost your economy.

And eh, my fears about France turned out to be unfounded as I stole away the Deep American South from them via Congress.
Turkey & Russia ended up being my new rivals after France lost her vassals and became mired into a long, exhausting war with Spain.

Who is the Kingdom of Srivijaya? The colour looks like Korea but they are being called "Indonesian Hindu brothers". Also, your map is one of the most ridiculous I have ever seen...

Last shot from this campaign.

Manifest Destiny towards the North Pole!
I have NEVER seen these cities before.

Also, check out that beautiful Turkey.

Impressive, I'll take your advice about China. I though, have seen Barrow before. But it's usually in the wrong place... Of course, everything west and north of the Mississippi is in the wrong place.

Not an OMG, but that had been a beautiful Ottoman Empire built by the NPCs. I did not expect them to collapse. I think they went into a revolution because two turns before this, they were stable/shaky. ((All of Middle East, Italy, Balkans, Mesopotamia, Persia, Marseilles and Spain.)) ((Also, only 3 cities till I have my very own continent all to myself. :D))

I'd like to see everything behind the fog.

Okay. I'll go to WB and take a Screenshot.
Oh. I was wrong. They didn't get Spain. They got the rest though before they collapsed.
Spoiler :
The turn the Ottoman Empire collapsed. Add venise and Sana'a and that is what their empire was. Edit: They also had Feodosiya.

4 Vassals in one turn !!

Spoiler :
civ4screenshot0012p.jpg
Spoiler :

On two occasions I was able to break the five-vassal limit because a whole bunch of civs offered to be my vassal at the same time. Both times I was ahead technologically and had just shifted my production focus from buildings to units. Since the AI puts a lot of emphasis on number of units when considering to be your vassal, they all decided to hop on board once I had a decent army.
