Because it was for rich people.

I didn't know that. Thanks Mr. Bunny!
it does make me feel like I'm talking to a stuffed animal, btw...

Why does/did everybody hate the Concorde?

UK people and EU people liekd it

but America got jealous about it not producing a high quality similiar plane and so forced it out :(

damn u USA i side with the rest of europe with this, especially FRA

Did it? That's interesting.

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere (I forgot where) that it usually broke the sound barrier too close to the ground, causing the windows on people's houses to shatter.

question: Did people sue the manufacturer of the Concord for broken windows?

better question: <snip>

This is sort of unrelated, but you can actually link to video's at a specific time. Just add #t=XmYs at the end of the url, where X is the minutes and Y is the seconds. For your video, it'd be #t=0m55s (best to link a couple second before the bit you're interested in)

Thank You, I've seen that done before but didn't know how to do it. :D

In the past year or so, I seem to have developed asthma and allergies. Is this possible or have I mis-self-diagnosed? Any cures/simple treatments without chemicals etc?

No. That's not why Concorde died. Concorde died because it was unusually hard hit by the post-9/11 airline slump, and was already unprofitable because it was a niche product for the rich.

I'm not aware. It also happens quite randomly and sporadically... despite all my time shifting positions the hour or so before I actually fall asleep, it ONLY happens when I'm half-awake. I've theorised I could be hitting something, but I'm always laying in contact with the bed, so nothing could be falling and causing the massive shake/bang.

...My bed vibrates at times too during the night.
Oh, that! It's nothing dude. Happens to me sometimes as well. It's basically your body dreaming you're falling or something, and you think your bed has vibrated or you've fallen on it from apparently levitating when nothing has actually happened. Considering my girlfriend has been wide awake on occasions when I've done this myself, I can assure you there are no succubi after you.

I dunno if I'm elbowing it... it is pretty terrifying at times when it just randomly happens. Another time, it happened when I left my monitor on, and JUST as the monitor shut off, it felt like someone had sat on my bed. I obviously have a case of vampires fearing the light!
That's probably just a case of your bed shifting underneath you.

 Poor poor Lord Baal...
It's gotten so that I have to sleep with her in loose armbars. I'm not joking.

...Is there a way to ward off succubi yet leave the door open for incubi?
Prostitution? :dunno:

How about LOOKING LIKE A GODDAMN BADARSE

Exactly. Berets are awesome.

Dude got banned (IIRC). That guy was one rarity. An atheist conservative
Really? What for?

He added flavour to this forum.

But even gods slip up sometimes...
Tell me about it. Even I've been infracted on occasion. :mischief:

Thanks for your opinion. I edited it.

Anyone else wanna put in their two cents?

Seriously, I doubt you're bi. You seem to be in search of a bromance more than anything. I suggest TaniciusFox, so you can guard him while he sleeps. ;)

As if. It barely turned a profit, could only go supersonic over non-residential areas and most of all, had a crash record of 5%. Thats pretty significant when your whole fleet is only 20 planes (19 after the crash.)

The US never finished it's supersonic transport because it realized just how deep of a hole it would be.

EDIT -- Taniciusfox, your body does/feels weird stuff when you're falling asleep. What you're experiencing is probably an artifact of your normal falling asleep.

For instance, my mattress is on the softer side, but even then, I only create a small depression in it. From time to time though, it will feel like Im sinking into the mattress. Like you, this only happens to me when I'm at that half-asleep stage. Most of the time when this occurs, I get a sleep myoclonus afterwards. Like I said, weird stuff happens to you when you're falling asleep.

Is it unhealthy for it to happen too often? I do remember one time trying to sleep and then I suddenly felt like I was falling into an abyss... pretty terrifying.

Even when I'm just laying in bed and not really half-asleep the stuff will just happen. Whether I've only closed my eyes for a few minutes, or if I've been tossing and turning to find a good position for like an hour plus.

I'm waiting for an apparition to appear, I swear. At the very least, I'd finally change my sheets.

Bit of a rant/question:

Why oh why must Wikipedia's links be so addicting?

I went from the Concorde to 9/11 and then somehow ended up reading the freaking plot summary for Dogma. :crazyeye:

It's possible, but you really should see a doctor for confirmation and professional consideration of treatment.
Asthma can be coped with, but without treatment you're more likely to get an attack, and then it'll be too late. It must be quite mild, but the same applies.

1. Eww, wash your sheets eh.
2. Unless it's causing you to lose a lot of sleep, I dont see how it can be detrimental.

Ever play Wiki race? You and another person agree on an article you need to get to, hit random, and whoever gets there first wins. You can only click in-text links to move around. Fun time-waster in calss.
