OK, so I moved the microwave (I'm not as wimpy as you think when it comes to lifting stuff ;)) so it's on a different outlet, and it stopped doing all these crazy things. Strange...

Curses, and here I was hoping it would start emitting noises that would vaguely sound like, "Aimee, kidnap a small animal and feed it to me..." (Some ovens do that, I hear)

Ah well. :(

Good thing you fixed it though! :goodjob:

Well, I also gave it a sacrificial microwave dinner (then ate it myself) so it's all good.

comment in another thread made me wonder.

Why is a bottled water more expensive than gasoline?

Not as much so since prices went up the last few years (they were under $2 before that), but when you consider that it has to be refined from oil and all the other things done to it, where as waters is just... water.

Because sheeple are stupid enough to pay that price. :)

because we don't want the government dictating what we can sell (of course they already do this with drugs...). Some of us don't want to live in a commie state.

Why is water sold in bottles for private profit is the question you should be asking.

Why is water being bought in bottles is the question you should be asking.

Most of us like the government to regulate public health and safety and keep lead out of children's toys so I think you're in the minority.

The consumer is not at fault, he has been brainwashed by the capitalist producers into thinking such things are necessary. Manufactured demand.

Consider: Powdered milk was given out for free to African mothers in place of breast milk by a company that makes powdered milk. Gerbers or something. Then after a while the company stopped giving it out for free and made them buy it, so the African mothers rather than feeding their babies with their breast milk were spending their little income to buy powdered milk from this corporation which is in fact less healthy and nutritious than breast milk.

I can get bottled water for 25c per gallon here. I dont think gasoline has been that cheap...ever.

On that note, the only reason to buy bottled water is if your tap water tastes really bad (such as mine)

Is there a way for a third party to get some sort of restraining order to keep two people from meeting? It involves a friend in the U.S. I'm worried about. Both people live in different states. Long story made short: One told me she's a pedophile. The other one is a minor. They are both going to meet. I told the minor what the older one said, but the minor refuses to listen to me.

(If anybody had seen my similar post from months back: YES, this is the same people. However, when I reported her, nothing came of it. :()

If they don't know each other, I wouldn't worry about it.
Anyways, don't think so.

They do know each other online. They're planning to meet this summer and the minor actually wants to stay for over a month.

I tried reporting the adult but nothing happened. When I tried to talk to the minor, she ended up blocking me because she takes the adult's side.
