Mirc: your communication with the school is international. In my experience, around 10% of international messages go wrong, get lost, are misunderstood, even if both sides use perfect English. Try again! Call!

In your position, I would simply send a polite email asking them to confirm they have your original one. If there is still no answer, then call. There's no harm in making sure.
