Seriously, I have troubles understanding how people can love firearms, especially guns whose only function is to kill people (as opposed to say hunting rifles). I can understand people needing a gun, but loving it? I suppose that I'm just a eurowimp...

Regretably, my neighbourhood is not typical of the UK. While the police do not have armed foot patrols, they do have immediate firearms support in the back of TSG (Tactital Support Group) vehicles.

Average shootings in my estate are 1.2 per month. I have no wish to end up as a police statistic.

I dont carry an concealed gun, but have no problem walking around with shotgun or rifle at the ready for taking game. I dont keep guns for self defense, but use them for sport.

I'm not sure what rifle he was using but did you hear about the canadian sniper who made a kill from 2.4km in afghanastan last summer, a new world record.

if I wanted a light machine gun I'd go for the shrike conversion for an m16 or m4



for a medium machine gun I'm a big fan of FN's MAG 58 the m240
