I believe I recall someone here in Georgia getting convicted for having consensual sex with his girlfriend before marriage (in addition to breaking and entering charges for breaking into her family's house to get to her) a few years ago, and appealing. I believe that law was then struck down by the court. (Or had it already been repealed by the legislature first, but not repealed in such a way to work retroactively?)

Lawrence vs. Texas. Most zoophilia laws were merely listed under "sodomy", all of which were struck down; perceived moral disapproval on its own is an insufficient justification for banning a private act.. The recent Florida case (2004 conviction) was based on cruelty towards animals, not a specific ban to zoophilia.

Not so quick. The law concerning that was updated not too long ago when a guy out at Enumclaw, WA (I think it was Enumclaw) got killed by having sex with a horse. Died of a perforated colon.

No one was charged since there wasnt any law on the books coverning that sort of thing. So, they made one. I wonder if the new actually does have a weight restriction in it like the link says. Funny stuff.

You're wrong. The Supreme Court refused to hear appeals to the Alabama law in 2005. Legislation is introduced in Alabama yearly to try to repeal the ban. It never passes.

Horny Alabamans are now on their third court case, each testing different reasons, to overturn the law.
