Alright it's like on the borderline between aerobic and anaerobic. It's very intense exercise.

My apologies. I was only familiar with the term anaerobic respiration, which is respiration that happens in the absence of oxygen. I had not heard of anaerobic exercise, which is apparently a way that your body produces energy for short reflex-driven bursts, via temporary anaerobic methods when it cannot pump enough oxygen fast enough to your muscles. It's basically nitrus oxide for your muscles.

Don't worry about it I should have chosen my words more carefully.

Reading the entry on anaerobic exercise is a bit confusing. In my personal experiance i do 15 minute bike training to get the blood flowing at the gym. I crank up the resistance as if i'm cycling uphill and i cycle at a consistent speed for 15 minutes (except for a 30 second sprint at the end). For the whole exercise my legs are practically full of lactic acid and i'm feeling my muscles burning. It is very, very uncomfortable. By the end of the 15 minutes i'm a wreck, it takes me at least 5 minutes to compose myself and for my legs to stop shaking.

I guess i'm doing some kind of partial aerobic/anaerobic exercise because if it was purely aerobic the pain wouldn't be so bad. On the other hand i'm not sprinting for 15 minutes at a time as that is impossible.

TOSSUP: Sgt Pepper's or Abbey Road?

Sgt. Pepper's for me, easy, but I'm usually high.

Spoiler :
(with a little help from my friends)

Over the past month, I've developed some pretty bad chest pains, which has generously transformed into pain behind my ribs, too. Now, whenever I stretch my arms up and move from side to side, I can feel... something grinding against something else and my breathing becomes incredibly shallow. It returns to normal when I stop moving from side to side, so the difficulties breathing is directly associated with the grinding sensation I feel/hear.

Get it checked out if it's concerning you. I would..

Book an appointment with your GP/Canadian equivalent.

Yes, the wizard will see you now. :p

Is this a problem or will it buff out?

I had something kinda similar. I had deep chest pains on the left side of my chest. Turns out they were just muscle spasms and some Ibuprofen worked fine relieving the pain.

Book an appointment with your GP/Canadian equivalent. At worst, they won't find anything (or maybe that's the best option).

Would if I could. My doctor happens to be inept and I wouldn't trust him around me ever again. Going to the ER would cost me upwards of $160 just to get there. Hence why I came here instead of the doctor. :p Who needs modern medicine when you have CFC?

I still got two pneumothoraces whilst at CFC, so me, at least. :)

You're not wrong. Anaerobic exercise involves anaerobic respiration, specifically lactic acid fermentation (which also makes yogurt). Creatine phosphate only lasts half a minute anyway.

Anyway, question. Can someone verify that "cholera" is a Polish interjection for "damn", and if that is the case, how?

Does a spider drink water?
There was this nasty one in my bedroom, and it sat right at the wetspot, on a papertowel i placed on the floor cause of a leaking radiator.

I presume they drink water. I can't think of any organism that doesn't require it.

Fish? They cant be drinking the water, can they?

lol and i call myself educated..

Btw, can anyone direct me to more info about spiders, possibly a documentary? Im really interested in them.

drop bears?
Koalas don’t normally need to drink as they get all the moisture they need from the gumleaves. However, they can drink if necessary, such as in times of drought when the leaves may not contain sufficient moisture.

it is rumoured that they also leap out of trees and suck the blood of overseas backpackers, but as no backpackers are known to survive such an attack there are no first hand accounts avalible

Are ellipticals more efficient than exercise bikes? My friend claims that I will get the benefits of a full body workout and cardio without the impact to my knees that happens when you run. A bike only gives you a lower body workout, this friend says, and so an elliptical is exactly what you need. What says you?

Yes. You're right. There are organisms which don't drink water directly, but instead get all the water they need from their food. Or access it in other ways than drinking.

Still, all organisms require water in some form or other. Life is a squishy business, and water is a fundamental part of that.

Dunno. It's a different workout. But the real question being which one will you use and which one will do what you want it to accomplish.

I'm hearing that youtube is going through a lot of changes that everyone is hating.

I think I heard one of them that youtube is becoming a paysite. Any truth to that? And what other changes, if any, is it going through?

That's only specific channels, actually. You pay something like a couple dollars a month to access the channels. So far, seems to be only premium content that wouldn't normally be on the site, but who knows what other channels'll sign up for that.
