What would you call someone half persian, half white (me)? I've heard the term 'eurasian' to describe someone half asian half white. 'eurabian' came to mind for me but since Persians are not arabs that wouldn't really work.

Persians are considered "white" according to the Census, speak an Indo-European language, and some of them could pass for Europeans if they dressed like them. Make of that what you will.

@Phrossack: It's a fedora.
There's no pinch in the front and the brim is too wide, so it wouldn't be a fedora. It's not really a bucket hat, either. Phrossack's "Boss of the Plains" suggestion is pretty good, but those had a rounded top and that one doesn't.

It kinda looks like a leather chupalla, but that's not really a Thing. You could just stick it under a generalized "sombrero" label. Hell, Stetson's made hats that look similar.

Is there a term that is the opposite of victim mentality/complex?

Yeah, I saw the chupalla and thought of it. Looked under sombrero, and it does look almost exactly like a sombrero cordobés. Thanks for the lead!

Some of the Texas Flat Crowns are also pretty similar.

Now I just have to see if they make them in my size, whatever that is, and out of leather if possible.

Are there any good Star Wars EU books?

They might include one or two EU stuff if it is *actually* good. And that is *BIG* if. So a total or near-total post-ROTJ reboot is likely. :)

Disney is hacking off the EU tumor for a reason.

Wasn't there like, 5 cloned palpatines? And they all had his memories or soul or something?

I recall he had some laboratory that creates and stores them. For old palpy, he just soul surfs into a fresh clone body.

Doesn't the EU include basically everything not in the original six movies? If so, the only way to make the new movies not include EU is to make them faithful remakes. That, or they're automatically not EU by virtue of being official films. Though The Clone Wars might be considered EU.

My understanding is that the original six films are considered to be a unique "George Lucas Canon" ("G-canon"), while stuff like Clone Wars is a second level of "television canon" ("T-canon"). Games, comics, etc., fall into lower levels of canon, and I think this is what's usually identified as the "EU". Presumably the new films will fall alongside "T-canon", which already includes the Clone Wars film, or perhaps somewhere between G and T levels.

Actually, they're scrapping that system. Things will only be either canon or not canon now. I certainly do hope they redo the prequels, although that will never happen while George Lucas is alive.

If you're going to redo the prequels you might as well redo the original trilogy while you're at it.

Could we rename them Star Warriors?
