The "Virgin Mary" Sandwich: Who Is It, Really?

Perhaps some of you have seen the news story about the grilled cheese sandwich said to contain the face of the Virgin Mary, which is being auctioned on eBay:

There's definitely a face there, and while I happen to think that the seller of this sandwich is calling it the Virgin Mary to boost sales (b/c there's no way the Virgin Mary really looked like that, historically), I do think it'd be amusing to speculate who the sandwich is REALLY trying to channel.
