A segway based economy you say? That just might be crazy enough to work.

Though to be fair, it isn't a complete sinkhole of state funding bonanza. The Norwegian space industry had a turn over of about 6.7 billion NOK in 2014. The current government is budgeting aprox 1 billion NOK a year of funding to the national space science sector. Though the they've made significant cuts in funding to Norwegian participation in the European space agency (ESA).

^TIL our company will "restructure" from ~170 to ~120 employees within the next month. This is now the 8th time our company reduces its staff in 2 year cycles.
