Time for the Christmas Smiley?

I always approve of hats.

My issue is that they have not been set as the standard yet like they usually are at Christmas.

Some hum-buggers are against it each year.. Azzaman especially vocally.

It's been added to the admin schedule. I'm sure they'll get to it if they have time. Spamming their inboxes is unlikely to expedite the process.

Did I suggest spamming anyone? I suggested asking politely. Which I did (and I'm sure Plotinus would confirm that it was a polite message).

I would do it, but I can't work out how!

Just a suggestion:

With IPB forums, there's a list of available smileys in the emoticon manager section of the admin panel. From there it's a simple procedure of going through them and enabling them to be "clickable" (yes) or "not clickable" (no).

I'm not sure how this works in the current version of the vBulletin software, but a look at the manual should help. I know there's something in there about how to use the smileys/emoticons. It would surprise me if Thunderfall had to reload them every year, so they are probably in the forum database. It's just a matter of disabling the regular ones and enabling the Santa versions.

I'm the opposite. I'd like to see a christmas hat on the machine gun for the contradiction. The smilies just give us a break from the normal ones we use the other 11 1/2 months. Same for the colors.
