Time for the Christmas Smiley?

Anyone else notice the different hats this year? Here's a snapshot I took on New Year's Day 2008 of the Christmas smilies then:

IIRC they were similar to the 2007 ones last year. Also interesting is the ones that have hats this year but didn't in 2007, and vice-versa. Who doesn't like a confused Santa hat smiley?

I've never seen that kind of flat-topped Santa-hat on a smiley.

I know I'm newer here, but I've never seen them before.

I for one like those ones in the picture better than the current ones.

:p

I see a hat on that.

The tongue smilie does not have a Santa hat, like it used to, not that I am complaining and for much of the time the frown smilie did not have a hat also, until recently.

That must be that upside down effect you Australians get.

Can't be, I can see it. ;)

This is what I get.

Strange. Now mine is missing the hats for the :D and :p smilies.....

Try emptying the cache. That worked for me.

Okay, my hats are back on their own now.

Right about now, I'd say.

Why are some of the Christmas smileys not in the same colour scheme as the normal ones, e.g. the :p one?

Don't they ususally disapear after New Years?

Ok, now that Christmas is over, the smilies should have their hats removed :p.

But it's a planet of hats!

I think the hats should not be removed, but replaced. With better hats.
