Two Cows: NES STYLE

RTOR NES 2: You have two cows, they are immortal.

Yep, even though they've been flamed a couple of times they still don't die

30YWnes: you have two cows, they get ignored by EVERYONE on the farm and die

Never Ending Story 2 - not winning, but surviving: the inspirational speech was not enough to make the 2 cows survive. UK, is that your first game that COMPLETELY flopped? lol

The whole NES forum: you have a stampede of cows, some pairs are healthy, a couple are immortal, but the majority stuggle to find some grass, fail, and die.

Nothing is more true

WNESes: You have 2 cows. 1 cow dies after reading the map the second one dies a little after eating over 40 posts.

RTOR2: You have 3 cows. 1 goes up in flames. The second one overeats. The third cow keeps the farm going.

(What that ment was 1st cow-flamming 2nd cow-Many unneeded posts 3rd Cow- EQ and players)

Looking back on my first post on this page, i find it slightly ironic as when i posted that the great amount of flames that just began had not yet occured. Hopefully the other two cows don't catch on fire by that 3rd cow running around while in flames.

Spoiler :
--- RTORNES - The Pretender Gods ---

NESing is already struggling with trying to be realistic - which it ultimately isn't. We don't need a magnifying lens to see that.

Quoted for truth.

My planned NES based on Dominions 3 has therefore become the following.

MAP:
There will be no map to start with. There will be no map until around the third turn or so. Until then, declare what part of the world you're in, make up the local geography, go to war with other nations, and form temporary alliances but remember that there is only one victor that can be crowned.

BACKGROUND: (IC)
On this word, it was clear until a very short time ago that there was One True God, that all the world worshipped, and who had destroyed all other religions and claimants to divinity and various liars. Prayers were answered, generally in the negative (loudly), priests healed wounds with a touch, and divine fire burned on altars without needing fuel.
Now the Pantokrator has disappeared. And now a number of the old pretenders to divinity have resurfaced, gathering armies to fight in their name and priests to speak the glory of their name. From the farthest reaches of the world, from the deep places of the earth, even some from the bottommost seabed, all manner of things claim to be the next rightful God. From the simply mundane, high priests who have converted their local cult to serve themselves, to the outright magical, such as great talking spiders, there appears to be no limit to who thinks that they should be worshipped.
There can only be one victor, and all the others who dared show themselves are doomed to complete and utter destruction at best....
(OOC)
If you've read any novels by HP Lovecraft, imagine that level of myth-in-reality. If not, figure that this is alternate Earth, without magic, but where your Pretender God has special power, which may be explicitly magical or may be inherent. The technology level is roughly 500 AD. The year is Year 1 of the new calendar, which began when the old God disappeared.

Sample Nation
Shizalan
Erik Mesoy
Vaguely 1001-nights-style nation with swashbuckling heroes, despotic rulers, masses of quietly religious people, and a culture steeped in legend.
Jazer, Lord of Balance, King of Summer, Lord of the Desert Wind is a genie, but not one dwelling in a lamp. He stands twice the height of a man and his body is the cloud of a desert storm. He delights in leading his armies to war.
Economy: 50 +0
Faith: 10
In the lands where Jazer is lord, summer seems to reign all year and heat increases, and the people change to match. Auspicious omens are seen constantly by the populace, but births are few and his worshippers seem set to increase more by conquest than by fertility.

Orders
Tell me what you're spending your money on (each turn you can spend an amount equal to your total Economy stat) such as temples to yourself, hiring a larger army (1 economy point buys you 1 unit), training your army (this is unknown until you spend on it), propaganda missions to make other countries believe in you, Great Wonders, inventing a UU, what have you.

DO NOT POST YET.

ENES1: You have two cows. They die due to a stalemated disagreement of what to do with them.
ENES2: You have two cows. You don't have them any more.

RTOR NES 5= You have two cows, in an attempt at being fair and equal and to avoid flaming, you divide each cow equally amongst everyone. Both cows end up catching fire anyway...

NESes (mine): You have two cows, they begin okay and then quickly die. Then you have two better cows, they begin okay, go on great, and then die. Then you have...

As you people can clearly see, neither pair of cows in this whole forum EVER reached a clear end, but it ended. And you call that a Never Ending Story?!

NANES: You have two cows, and they die after they hit their heads falling out of the mother's womb.

I thought u named them.

Ok, I will try this:

StJNES: You have only one cow, it is abondoned for another cow before it is ready for milking.

JNES: You have two cows, they both are abondoned as now there are new types of cows.

Never heard of this cow thing until now, lol, so go ahead and laugh ;).

Jason

Sheep2: He flames cows to death. (rotr5)

UKNES 2: You have two cows, and make a deal that you will get another one. The person you made the deal with (cough JTK cough) then breaks the deal and takes the cow. Another player vows to help you secretly and then joins in on the side of the other evil person. (cough Troquelet cough)

Yea thats right, im still mad about it...

;) :D

Colonization NES: Your two cows reproduce until you have 7 cows. One at a time each one dies in infancy. Until three cows remain. One rules the North, one rules the South, and one rules the Midwest.
