UI that needs to be fixed day 1

It's quite impactful in simultaneous MP.
Does simturns even exist in Civ multiplayer? Either way, MP is rather nieche in this series, so I'm very disappointed if they make such annoying changes just because it'll have impact in MP.
 
I would give to the guys of this thread a discount of $5 if I was in Firaxis, because of the excellent beta testing, even without the game !!!!!

Quite a few things are also complaints made by streamers when they play their media preview builds. So if you're trying to be sarcastic, you might want to watch a few streams yourself to see that many ideas in the thread are valid points based on the preview build, hence based on the actual game.

No no stop, I was serious.

Nowdays software houses use the mass to betatest products for free, I don't like this behaviour.

Sid released a gorgeous civ i with no patches.

To be fair though, some of the things are not what beta testing would catch. They're a lot more like quality-of-life improvements. Although I agree that many are pretty obvious things that should have been done right in the first place for a company that has been basically making the same game over for 25 years. Perhaps they lack a process to pass on knowledge and player feedback when new developers join the team, so they keep repeating the same mistakes every other version.

Yep you are right, anyway another message in between the lines of my post was : thx guys for your opinions, ideas, bug report and comments. I just hope Firaxis read this thread taking note of all, also applying many of the neat suggestions.

Also small thing that irritates me is some toltips that are vague or weirdly written:

Campus and holy site, lists mountains four times (grass mountains, desert mountains and so on) really confusing.

Maybe minor adjacency bonus should be formulated more carefully explained.

Also the 'farma resource' Eureka is something that a lot of YTers have misunderstood, 'build a farm on wheat or rice' would be much less confusing.

A hint that a archeologists will dissappear when it's home museum is filled up would be helpful as well as a counter on the unit for slots left.

And great people should have an indication of how many charges they have on the recruit great people screen.
 
Can any UI improvements be seen in the latest build that the developers showed then they played Gorgo?

The only noticeable changes are: the rumor notification spam is gone, the resource icons across the top on the screen are gone, and there is a new mysterious "Reports" button at the top, which the devs didn't really acknowledge. It's been speculated that it has the previously mentioned missing resource lists and rumor log, as well as possibly city- and unit-lists.
