Given all that Turing did for the war effort, most significantly Enigma, and given how absolutely abominably he was treated by his own gvt, I think something a little more than "we're sorry" is in order. You say 'sorry' when you spill a drink on someone. Giving a man breasts, castrating him, and driving him to suicide as reward for saving your country? That needs a little more.

I would like to see something permanent in England have his name attached. A monument, a building, a park, something. A posthumous knighthood is crap. People are alive and England is free in part from Turing's work. Surely somebody can dredge up a little more gratitude and find something to name after him, no?
