UK CFC Meet up?

@MjM: We stuck to real names for the most part.

Actually, if you look closely, you will notice that she is looking past my hands, the knife, the masala dosa and all that we see in the picture.

What was on the other side of the table that night?
Spoiler :

Mise's crotch.
I guess that's what the yanks call "Shock and Awe"?

 Good one there Mise. For a moment I thought you meant “shock and awww ain’t that cute.” :p

@ Rik: To be perfectly honest I had no preconceptions about you. That’s neither a good nor bad thing old chap. That’s why you weren’t on the list. Glad to see you made it to the wedding. Was it fun?

@ Kitten: That wasn’t a very nice thing to say at all. The group may (or may not, it’s a matter of opinion) have been as you say. But at least they got up off their behinds, met up, acted politely and generally had a good time together. Which isn’t something we can say about you. Besides it was a gaming and discussion forum meet up, not a bloomin’ models convention!

@ El Justo (The Righteous One!): We had a good time, not a great big raucous time. It was hardly a ‘big knees up’, clubbing, dancing or tomfoolery night, nor was it a great big drink up for its own sake. In short we just got to know each other a bit better, chatted about Civ, CFC, politics, history and all the stuff we generally talk about in here. Given that we were all of different ages, backgrounds, careers and cultural tastes, it was an achievement that we ALL managed to have a good time! :goodjob:

I certainly had an excellent time. And I got the impression we all had a good time. Too bad I had to leave early. The wedding was really really nice.

Furiey looks like my co-worker....

damn- so mad i missed it. Bloody student loan company still hasnt got my september loan to me. I was totally pennyless!

Perhaps we can try again sometime :) pretty pleeeezee?

i think summer- nice long time to plan properly. Perhaps even mean some might want a second helping- we dont want to rush them!

And- for once, perhaps more chance of nice english weather!

I'm good for whenever really. Its just crazy that I still have that bloody cold that kept me from going last week...

Bumpety bump! :bump:

Anyone interested in another CFC meetup? This Christmas holiday, or next summer? Who, where, what again? (Or do you just want to throw rotten tomatos at me for the bump? :D)

Probably/possibly. It would all depend on the timing/location.

The further north the better. While I'm happy to travel long distances, I'd rather cut any journey short.

Where was the meet-up last time?

I'd be up for a meet, and i'd strongly suggest London again! Why? - Lotsa things to do! Easy to get to!

Also what with work I wouldn't be able to make a December date because I already want a weekend off then to head to London and see Placebo/clubbing with a couple of friends.

That would be worth going to, but are there any takers? Say AVN and Mathlida? :mischief:
I did think of them!:D

On a serious note - if someone does want to organise another meet up then i'd suggest making a new thread for it!

I'd most probably be in also.

Well, Kan could propose to Furiey. She could accept. They could set the date and send the invites. Then all your problems are solved :D
