Ultimate Showdown 2.0: Now With More Showdowniness - Handsoff HoI2 AAR

Either that or they are smart and protecting themselves from future attack that could take out their IC and destroy them.
No, they're being stupid, shut up.

How the hell is it possible that England isn't conquering Scotland? They have much more units then them... including a lot of Armored divisions. Why can't they manage a breakthrough?

Real answer: They have no leaders because the nation was created by SuperBeaver and he forgot to make some. Or at least I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Go back a few pages; he posted the reason why.

How did Japan suddenly start doing so well against Australia? Weren't they landing practically every other month and getting repelled constantly?

It sounds like Australia kept on trying to transport units to the islands and presumably quite a few of the transports were sunk.

A question for you guys!

I can fix England's problem very easily. It would take all of five minutes playing with the save game file. Scotland would last all of a few days, at which point, the English would swarm across the Channel, really messing up Spain. Do you guys want me to do that? Or just keep things the way they are?

A second question. On September 1, 1939 (the end of the next update), the historic starting date of WWII, should I declare a global ceasefire for a few months, before restarting a global war? A lot of countries have already signed peace treaties with each other, since I have yet to find a way to stop that from happening. And given a few months of peace, the AI might start doing things like building nuclear reactors.

Please fix England.

And no, please don't stop the war. Better yet, reignite the war between those who signed a ceasefire

Yes, crank england's up!

I'm sort of against changing the England situation unless the AI can break through normally. If they land a few divisions in France then they could quickly cut Spain in two which seems a little unfair when they are actually winning. Maybe wait until they take Moscow, assuming that they do?

Sí, da, oui, yes, haan, ja, hao, and hai. I take no responsibility if any of those are incorrect.

Vote results:

Fix English leaders:
Yes:10
No:2

Ceasefire:
Yes:2
No:0
Restart wars:4

So England will now have leaders and act normally, and all wars will be reset instead of a ceasefire.

Yay! Gonna be fun seeing England actually do something!

Update XXI - July 1, 1939 - September 1, 1939

You guys voted, and it was overwhelmingly in favour of fixing England. So I did. And they annexed Scotland within a week. And they did other things...so considering you guys voted for it, don't complain when you see what happened. :p

El Salvador is defeated, while Honduras continues to halt the Americans. Like a boss.

Japan annexes Malaysia. Good luck holding Singapore against those Indian forces!

Finally, Argentina annexes Uruguay.

So...England. They have been kind of busy. A lot more pink on the map than last update. And its only been two months. The real question is how far can they go before their offensive runs out of steam? Despite losing tons of land in the west, Spain still has tons of IC, and continue to push eastwards. Moscow is now surrounded, and will probably be for a while. Spain has also pushed the Indians back out of Russia and Turkey.

In Africa, India has almost made it to Dakar, having marched all along the northern coast. South Africa has moved into Cameroon, and also up the Nile towards Cairo.

India is losing ground, with Spain making it all the way to Kurdistan. China is also now pushing into Central Asia. And Nepal went and trolled India a bit by conquering some land. They even still have that province over in eastern India. Not much has happened in east Asia or Oceania, aside from the Philippines landing in Borneo, and Japan getting kicked out of Singapore.

Argentina advances up the Brazilian coast, but Brazil is now starting to grow outwards, taking the northern Argentinian provinces.

And the US continues to not be able how to figure out how to defeat Honduras.

I hope Britain and Spain get into a prolonged stalemate of sorts, instead of one annexing the other.

Awesome! The great Tea Drinkers finally getting it on!

it certainly makes things more interesting now that England is joining the fray.
