Thanks for pointing that out to me, I made that list before the Macedon DLC was announced. I moved Philip II to Macedon and removed Alexander III of Macedon, since he's already in the game.

I think Macedon should be part of Greece as I think Macedon had Hellenic culture like rest of Greek city states. for Macedon, I think other than Alexander III aka the Great or Philip II should be Seleucus I Nicator for Seleucid LEader, Ptolemy I Soter for Ptolemaic Egypt also Ptolemy can be also leader for Egypt. I am not sure other for good leaders of post Alexander in core Macedonia.

I looked up Smoke Jaguar and found that, not only was Smoke Jaguar his nickname, there is more info on him under his name of Chan Imix K'awiil. Looks like he was dedicated to monument building and ruled for a long time.

As for Macedon's having a Hellenic Culture, that was debated long before Phillip II's time. In fact, when Alexander I of Macedon applied to enter the Olympic Games, they had to convene a special committee to decide if he was 'Greek Enough' to compete. They decided he was, and he won the 'Gold' ('Titan') in one of the foot races. Mark him down as a possible athletic alternative leader for Macedon. The decision, by the way, was made mostly based on the fact that, although they had a funny accent, the Macedonians spoke a (barely!) recognizable Greek and worshipped roughly the same Gods. On the other hand, my old professor, Dr. Eugene Borza, argued that most of the other aspects of their 'culture' were at best Pre-Classical Greek bearing no resemblance to anything anywhere else in Classical Greek City-States: an army of distinctly Fuedal-like retainers (the Macedonian Phalanx was not called the Pezhetairoi, or Foot Companions (of the King) on a whim), a political system based on a royal family whose candidate still had to be 'voted on' by the armed host of the kingdom, and a society based on distinct hierarchy of aristocratic Lords and their followers. As stated, none of this had been seen in any other Greek Polis since the Greek Dark Ages hundreds of years earlier.

That said, other Macedonian Leaders among the 'Successors" who, at one time or another, actually controlled the area of Macedon itself:
Antipator
Kassandros
Polyperchon
Antigonos Monophthalmes ("One Eye")
Demetrios Poliokretes ('The Beseiger")
Lysimachos
Antgonos Gonatas

A colorful, but ephemeral bunch!

You aren't keeping it cool with Coolidge.

Hmmm There should be a difference between a wishlist for leaders and just a list of leaders

I don't want all of these leaders in the game. I simply added some that others suggested.

Since we will only have two leaders for each civ maybe those who give suggestions can add their top choices rather than all possibilities for leaders

Since we all know Korea is in the Expansion, I've moved the Korean leaders list to under the Alternate Leaders category. :D
I'm not hoping for a second Korean leader, but if they did add one, it would probably be male.

Sejong the Great would be a good alternative leader of Korea. He could have a bonus for inventing the Korean alphabet.

Or if we need an alphabet bonus, Ramkhamhaeng of Siam/Sukhothai could get one for inventing the Thai alphabet.

I would welcome both back if they get better voice actors. :p

Since we know the Netherlands and Mongolia are coming to Civ6 (with Wilhelmina and Genghis Khan as their leaders), I've moved them to under the Alternate Leaders list.
