Hi, Ive been working on a large senario for a while, adding all sorts of addons for time line, from wwii to the warhammer 40k universe and the last two units id like to add would be the crusader (black templar marine) and the cadian guardsman to it to be "complete" in my own mind. Was only asking when these units might roughly be released. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Now that my exams are finished I will be working on units a lot more, and i've just finished redoing the animations for the crusader and made some alterations to the guardsman, so they should be ready soonish

That's great news LMR, thank you for the swift reply. If I had any idea how to create units/animations with civ3 id give you guys a hand with your mod but my modding skills used to lay with 3d modeling/configs and scripts for the original OFP, so im a bit out of my depth here I think . Keep up the good work with your mod guys, wish you all the best of luck.

Ok, i'm not sure what happened, but when i opened the crusader file today to start rendering, all i saw was grey and there was no figure

So i cursed the unit creation gods and sulked

I'll have to do it all again, but i saved the animations so it shouldn't be too difficult. it will just be a little bit longer

I know the feeling of loosing models/work. However Im greatful that you are taking the time to create, perfect and release these for your mod for others to use so you wont be hearing me complain .

Sorry to hear that LMR. I have had my fair share of losses, and it's turned me into an obsessive duplicate save files creator while I go.. and it still even happens on occasion.

BTW, I figured out some time after I rendered Khaine how to get rid of the fire shadows, so I'll re-render it sometime soon so it will look better.

Is the WH40K BIQ pretty much done? Or is there still alot of other work to complete? I know it was mentioned there was a version available somewhere here but I was never able to find it.

Has there been any progress on the Chaos Marines? Just like the stock Chaos Marine in his armor?

I don't even want to imagine how insanely difficult a Defiler would be...

Yes, I've done a Lascannon Havoc, Berzerker and Plague Marine, and plan to redo the Chaos Marine (since my skills have improved since i did that) and have the Noise Marine, Rubric Marine, Autocannon Havoc and the Defiler still to do

I'm also playing around with a possessed marine and still trying to figure out how to animate the chaos terminator easily (since the figure doesnt want to play nice )

work has cut down the time available to me for all this though

the animations of the defiler weren't that hard, its the death that's bothering me. i have an explosion prop, but i cant get it to work properly...

Regarding working too much, I feel your pain. 6-8 hours of class per day (M-F), and then usually 8-10 hours of work after that. Whatever is left is spent on homework and sleep.

I have finished re-rendering Khaine Avatar, does look much better without shadows! I don't have time right now, but will try to get it uploaded later tonight.

I don't have any other units to advertise yet, but I will do some more units from World of Warcraft 2 that I can. I can't contribute anything else right now, but I will go back through the unfinished units section, and start doing any units that I can!

Akhem, how about makeing a few chaos units available for download, Ive redownloaded the main files and, Tada...nothing new, at least for chaos it seems, even though it sais last updated 2010, last time i checked over a year ago. By the way please definetely make Iron warriors and Thousand sons available as civs, Very famous Legions, lots of people would be happy. After McNeils Storm of iron and Ultramarines novels everybody wants to wage a longterm war as an angry Iron Warrior.

Unfortunately, RL has kept me rather busy and I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to work on units. As soon as the Chaos units I'm working on are completed, they will be released, but I can't make any promises when that will be
