Unit requests thread

This isn't really a request, but is more of a question. I am trying to put together an Indian flavored set and I can't seem to find many aircraft for it, which is understandable I guess. But anyway I happened upon the Hawkwer Hurricane model which supposedly had an Indian skin to it. So when I open it up I get the attached image. That isn't right is it?

I thought India's air force had orange white and green as their colors not blue and darker blue. Can someone explain this to me?
 
I'd just like to specify my earlier request for a "Conquerant du Nuages". Here's an image of the vessel described in the Jules Verne novel, "Robur the Conqueror"

According to Wikipedia:
Colour: Navy blue, sky blue and white

The Roundels are Orange, White, Green.

Alright, I guess I'll reskin it. As for the Indian units I requested earlier, I actually started working on them, but am having trouble with the Paratrooper. I have attached some screenshots of the other units I put together along with the files for the paratrooper. If someone could put the head from the Indian SAM Infantry on the Paratrooper I posted (keep the sunglasses on if you can) that would be awesome!

It would also be awesome if this could be done sometime tonight, I'm trying to keep on schedule for my mod and its India's turn to get flavored. :goodjob:

I am going to reskin the turban to be black with red underneath. Keep the sunglasses on though to make it look a little unique because the turban is becoming redundant. Which is why I gave them different colors. I noticed there weren't many Indian modern units out there, so when you're finished I'll post them all. Well after I put them in game and get some screens of course.

I started from the regular paratrooper and added all the parts to him, which made his .nif smaller. I also made the .tga into a dds.


Would you mind if I updated Ethnic Special Forces with this guy?

Not at all, I think you absolutely should.

Although I do intend on adding your special ops guys too, so if you could make him look different for that it would be helpful to me.
 
Another request, and this time it is one of the Sioux units Bernie14 never made. I need a swordsman badly! I have placed in this attachment two files, one is danrell's Native Maceman and the other is Bernie's Sioux Spearman. What I would like is for the weapon from danrell's maceman to be accompanied by the body and head of Bernie's Spearman on either a swordsman or warrior animation (preferably the swordsman I suppose, but whatever you think is best to go with the weapon use those animations). The shield is optional.

I also attempted to make a Sioux archer (another unit Bernie didn't make) but failed because when I added the new texture the backpack showed up again. So I decided to post that as well. I also posted Bernie14's Taino archer, it would be awesome if I could get the quiver and knife from this archer to appear on the "Archer 2" archer but without the backpack. I put an image of the backpack archer too. I also noticed that Bernie14 never made Sioux or Iroquois chariots. If there is anyway someone could put the Spearman body/head on a native chariot (I guess the south american chariot from BtS or Warlords or whatever) that would be awesome. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me with this, this stuff is over my head for some reason and I always manage to . .. .. .. . something up when I try. Can't wait to finish this mod and get back to LH-making.
 
I forgot to post the unit files, here they are.

EDIT: I just realized there are two unit files in the maceman folder. I want the weapon from the Maceman.nif to be used for the swordsman. Thanks.

Yeah that was a mistake, I wanted Danrell's mace as the weapon for the swordsman, I'll be using Bernie's Maceman as my maceman so it would be stupid if they had the same weapon. If anyone is working on this (since I know there has been a high demand for the Sioux set to be finished) they can take any liberties they'd like as far as how they look.

Ill be done with it in a few minutes. One thing though Danrell's maceman has a tomahawk. Is that waht you want as a sword?
 
I have also noticed two "sets" of modern native American soldiers. I saw one set wearing red berets, and one set wearing helmets. Does anyone know where I can find these or what mod/module they may be part of? I'd like to use them for the Sioux and Iroquois respectively.

This is the one I wanted to use, but you can use your judgement. Although I think a tomahawk wouldn't really make that much sense for the Sioux.
