Unit requests thread

Inside of Blender can't you just go into object mode, right click on your spearman model, hold shift, right click on your skeleton, they should be both highlighted now, press the space bar, go to object-> parent -> make parent. Choose armature. Choose not to to create new vertex groups. And that's it, it should be attached to the armature. To check and make sure, click on your armature and go into pose mode and move around the bones, your model should distort with it. Fool around with it to make sure everything is moving properly and reassign the vertices as you see fit.

When you export it, it should be animating. I don't know if it will be animating correctly but he should be moving about. It's very simple and I would do it for you but I am busy at the moment, blasted midterms coming up around the corner and all.
 
So I was trying to make an Arverni-style Arjos looking spearman unit (that was quite a long description there) to go along with the Celts in my upcoming mod. I thought I made the unit correctly, but apparently I did not because it is giving me the "gingerbread man" pose in-game:

I was wondering if anyone could take a look at the files here for me and help me to get it to work properly (the shield and stuff might need to be realigned too, I'm not sure).

If you want to take this up, here is some information:
  • It uses the Spearman.kfm animations.
  • There is a blend enclosed to make it easier.
  • FirstNifSwap.nif is the nif I originally used then swapped it onto the Arjos.nif file.

That unit is from Warlords, IIRC.


And I think the unit is more or less done; I used the cannony part to make the handcannon. I ripped it in Blender, the attached it to a spear.
 
I really need a German JU52 "Iron Annie" transport aircraft. It's a World War 2 era plane. Here's some links with pictures if anybody is interested.

I've added air transports to my mod (they can carry light infantry type troops from airbase to airbase, and deliver paratroopers to their drop zone). I have a C-47 for allied troops, but I'm in great need of a German type transport. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: If it would save time or allow you to spend more time on the rest of the plane, feel free to omit the guns. Either way it would be great to be able to add this to my mod.
 
Well, i've more or less finished the model and adapted the Bomber skeleton to the three props, but now i have to texture it. I'll release it probably tomorrow or wednesday.

I think the ancient chinese cannonier animations would work.

I have a request though. I need some Greek flavored WW1/WW2 era units. I need an Infantry, a Machinegunner and an anti-tank infantry. I don't know much about what they wore when they fought but here's an image that could be used as the Infantry at least, because I think it's pretty unique looking:

Although it isn't necessary that they look like that, I just can't find any Greek uniforms from that era.

If you want to whip up some what-if Carthage WW1/2 era units that'd be good too. I just don't know what to make them look like, and I'd prefer what-if over something from the region (i.e. no moroccan/tunisian/algerians). If anyone can help me out with this that'd be awesome. Thanks.
