Unit requests thread

Not sure where to post this.
I'm looking for a way to import HOMM5 units into Civ4.
The dds files are there, so now I only need a way to handle the xdb ones...
Any help???

EDIT:
No need for those xdbs...
I realized that the main if not only problem is dds body parts handling.
I can open and edit them through bmp, except the part placements are so random, it gives close to nothing...
Any help with it???

This unit seams hard, but just in case any1 feels like taking a stab at it id definatly use it in my mod

Requesting Rc-xd

Its from black ops but ik it was also used in vietnam as an expirement more,

Also heres a simple one, its probably a small change from any aircraft carrier, i just need a little change, maybe 1 helicopter on it

Its a helicopter carrier, its a really modern unit, (thanks to Aob86 for the idea) would be a cool unit

Some Unit request that would help out C2C.

1. Police Car - Don't care what it looks like as long as it resembles a generic police car.

2. Plow Horse - A Horse pulling a plow with a guy walking behind it.

3. Shark - A great white would be nice.

4. Sheep - A sheep or goat or mouflon would be nice as an animal unit.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who makes these. PM me if you manage to make any of these.

once again asking about pictish units!

But also I would like to request some ethnic great people.
Roman/greek, Egyptian, Celtic/Germanic
1. Great Artist - for Rome should be a man in a tunic and sandals (black hair) with a paint brush in one hand and a palette in the other. the tunic should be white with a team colour border where there is gold of the picture (and up to the edge) and around the belt area. For the egyptians the same but with yellow tunic and different skin colour and a vase instead of a palette. The celtic should be a warrior with a skull (simmilar to standard artist.

Spoiler :

2. Great Scientist - for the romans and greeks a man with a white tunic/robe thing and beard holding the great engineer's compass thing (robe to cover legs and half of torso, sort of a strap over the shoulder). Pretty much the same for egypt but with a different skin colour and yellow robes (for the top of robes look at the red on this picture, the red of course would be white and the white on the picture should be skin.

Spoiler :

The celtic scientist should be a the european settler man with a plant or something simmilar (not sure what should be in the hand for him...)

3. Great Merchant - Roman should be horse instead of camel and celtic should have a horse with the male settler with a bear skin over the head and shoulders. face still showing.

He folks,

I would like to see an unit like this (s. attached files) as submersible aircraft carrier/ aircraft carrier submarine...and would be very happy and thankful if somebody could make it :) (or explain to me Unit making in really easy terms)

Thanks in advance

Here you go.

Thanks. :) I really do appreciate all your help on this SaibotLeah. Sorry I have been absent for a while. Have had to take care of A LOT of stuff recently. I am not getting anytime to work on this right now, but still intend to get back to it. For now I will have to put this project on hold. I hope that all will still be interested when I can finally pick this up again, which will definately happen. Sorry to everyone who is waiting to use these  All the best!!

I'm looking for gatling gun unit to replace early machinegun unit

Few pics:

I know there's one unit in database that almost looks like those but it has way too big barrels (looks more like multi-barrel cannon).. so maybe someone could "fix" that model to look more like those 1800's gatling guns?

gatling gun... anyone? its still missing.

a modified machine gun right? still nice. need it with a grenadier model, can you modify it this way?

The problem is, that the machine gunner is, like the cannoneer, in some way differend from other soldiers. While it it easy, in my experience, to put an Infantry to Grenadier or so, I always had the problem that cannoneer or machine gun-soldier look strange after doing so. If I put another soldier on the bones of the cannon, he usualy has an arm, where normaly shuld be the head, and so on... I am afraid, anyone other has to do this, someone who know how to convert. By the way, I myself also would prefere a late industrial 1800s uniform for this model, so if someone is able to change the soldier, now here are 2 persons interested.

But it is not perfect, when they move, they carry the gun in their shoulder...
Maybe you can fix that by removing the "Machine Gun_OnBody" mesh in the unit's nif and the "NiVisController" in the "Machine Gun_Skinned" node.

those wheels.... gotta be hard to get those gatling guns to move :p
Yes, but that was historically accurate for part of the 19th century. Early on gatlings were thought of as artillery, and so mounted on the same gun carriages as cannon.

If someone can retexture the machine gunner on Kathy's gatling, might I suggest Victorian British or one of the other 19th century colonial powers?

http://www.thehistorybunker.co.uk/acatalog/British_Army_Victorian_Era_19th_century_uniforms.html (Sorry, couldn't link directly to the 24th Foot Uniform.) As an aside, now I want a 24th Foot uniform + pith helmet, but there's no way I can justify the expense!
